"One of the better Robert Ludlum books. Although it took me a while to read, it has a good plot that keeps you interested all the way through. I think it will make a good film, which is due to come out in 2013 starring Denzel Washington and Tom Cruise."
— Justin (4 out of 5 stars)
" Better than average Ludlum nonsense. A good summer read. "

— Lorraine, 1/25/2014" I think might like this better than the Bourne Identity...Great book! "
— Jeff, 12/13/2013" By the author of the Bourne Identity, The Matarese Circle is a spy thriller with international intrigue, the requisite end of the world potential, and a love interest. Ludlum is good at his craft. "
— Dennis, 12/10/2013" superbly matured "
— Gm, 11/6/2013" I picked up this book for free and I'm very happy I didn't waste my money on it. The plot is over the top, the dialogue is terrible, the situations in this book are unbelievable and those are the good points. I'm not sure Ludlum even wrote this book. Save your time and money and skip this one. "
— Henryv, 11/2/2013" This is probably my favorite novel by Ludlum. Yup, it ranks higher than the Bourne novels. "
— Michael, 10/25/2013" One of the very first "thrillers" I ever read. It started my love of the genre which then led to reading about spies and espionage. Ludlum is genius. "
— Kim, 7/29/2013" A great Ludlum book. Fast paced with great character development and a great ending. "
— Lee, 5/4/2013" This book was overly violent for me. Some of the violence seemed unnecessary. "
— Mary, 4/13/2013" great suspense and espionage, full of conspiracy and nasty killings. "
— Karen, 3/3/2013" When it comes to plot and action, Robert Ludlum doesn't disappoint. I've noticed that he has a certain formula and his characters are pretty static and cliche', but the man can write an action sequence. Though this wasn't his best book, we enjoyed it, though we had to edit the language. "
— Donna, 1/19/2013" Maybe Ludlum's best and that says something. Picked it up and couldn't put it down for 3 days. Already got a copy of The Matarese Countdown and looking forward to reading it! "
— Jake, 12/26/2012" My first Ludlum book and it hooked me on the author :) "
— Joseph, 12/25/2012" The best book I have ever read! Haven't seen any other book that could beat it in terms of depth of story, the suspense and the way the story is told. Robert Ludlum at his masterful best! "
— Krishna, 12/20/2012" long time ago but great read at the time.....cold war shenanigans and all "
— Thomas, 12/18/2012" Awful plodding thing, sub-Quiller Memorandum. Only read it because I couldn't get anything else here in my expatriate condition. "
— Adam, 7/12/2012" A great thriller about a mob - like family/society that tries to take over the world. I like the two protagonists - well developed characters. "
— Kelly, 6/25/2012" Ludlum's novels are pretty formulaic, but they make good brain candy nonetheless. "
— Kevin, 3/22/2012" This was one of the first "thriller" book I ever read. I think this is one of Ludlum's best. "
— Brian, 3/15/2012" It was a good story but it took a long while to get to the good part. The storyline is interesting enough that it would be a good movie. "
