" This is probably my least favourite of the series, and oddly, the first 1 I read. Didn't realise it was part of a series back then (it stands alone fine) and if I had realised I never would have read the Mane Event (several years later).
It wasn't until I read it again within the series that I realised I'd read it before. Rapidly skimmed it that time.
Bought as audio out of curiosity only and excellent narration.
But you do kinda need to read this one to fully understand the rest of the series "
