The First Man You Meet

Shelly Hansen was horrified when her great-aunt’s wedding dress arrived—because, according to family legend, she was destined to marry the next man she met. So when she tripped on an escalator and fell into Mark Brady’s arms, she told him—and herself—that she wasn’t interested in marriage. But then she started seeing him everywhere.… Coincidence?

Is The Man You’ll Marry

After her own wedding, Shelly sends her best friend, Jill Morrison, the dress—which is delivered to Jill’s hotel in Hawaii. But at least the man she sat beside on the plane—gorgeous grouch Jordan Wilcox—can’t be the man in question, can he? She met him before she got the dress!

"Two fun, sweet stories that are related. The books are about a "magical" wedding dress and center on two best-friends. These are sweet stories, nothing deep. Quick reads, I finished both in a couple of hours. This book would be perfect for a plane ride or a beach read. "

" Macomber knows how to express characters' emotions. I liked the first story and characters best but found it too short. I didn't like the second story as well. As good as Macomber is at expressing character motivation, she didn't convince me that the heroine wasn't being manipulative. The magical dress worked for me in the first story, but not the second. It only seemed like a way to tie the two together and not done very well at that. I never felt any happiness from the second heroine, Jill, and felt sad she wasn't happy on her wedding day. "
