Publisher Description

Sabina Kane doesn't have the best track record when it comes to family. After all, her own grandmother, leader of the vampire race, wants her dead. So when she arrives in New York to meet her mage relatives, the reunion puts the fun in dysfunctional. Not only is mage culture completely bizarre, but everyone seems to think she's some kind of "Chosen" who will unite the dark races. Sabina doesn't care who chose her, she's not into destiny.

But the mages aren't Sabina's only problem. In New York's Black Light district, she has run-ins with fighting demons, hostile werewolves, and an opportunistic old flame. Sabina thought she'd take a bite out of the Big Apple, but it looks like it wants to bite back.

"I was hoping this book would be great, since the first one was actually pretty good. And it was. It makes me want to buy the 3rd book. I like Sabina isn't so angry in this one. I was afraid her "strong" angry persona would continue but she's evolving, and that was nice for me. Good read! "

" This book improved from the first. I enjoyed the read and will definetly read the next book!! I am starting to like the main character. I also love the introduction of Shade. He's a cool character and I hope to see more of him. "

" While the first book sucked, the second book improved. I would rate the first book a 2.5 and the second a 3.2. It's a very light and easy read, although I wouldn't necessarily recommend it. It was a very forgettable book. "

" It only took the first page to bring book one back into focus. It's a pretty good 2nd and I will def continue on. Got to anyway, there is unfinished business that Sabina has to take care of. "

" A quick, high-action, fast-paced read. Sabina Kane is still not my favourite character (she was raised by vamps and her morality is a little askew) but I found her more sympathetic this book. "
