Dr. Richard Draman is trying desperately to discover a cure for a disease that causes children to age at a wildly accelerated rate—a rare genetic condition that is killing his own daughter. When the husband of a colleague quietly gives him a copy of the classified work she was doing before her mysterious suicide, Draman finally sees a glimmer of hope. The conclusions are stunning, with the potential to not only turn the field of biology on its head, but reshape the world. Soon, though, he finds himself on the run, relentlessly pursued by a seemingly omnipotent group of men who will do whatever it takes to silence him.

"I was excited to finally read something that kept my attention. Though I was almost put off by the beginning, I'm glad I kept going. I appreciated the characters, the fast pace, and the flow. Also enjoyed the partnership of Richard and Carly, husband and wife. They stuck with each other and worked through everything they needed to so they could help their daughter. Also enjoyed Burt in the mix and I thought he was a perfect outside addition to Susie's plight. Definitely a Good Read!"

" Kyle Mills took a turn on the type of book he usually writes. This is a medical thriller and is good but I miss his usual thriller. "
— Kay, 2/17/2014" Another fast-paced, engaging thriller about medical experimentation (this genre is fun to read). Again, fans of Michael Crichton and Scott Nicholson (like me) will like this a lot. "
— Brooke, 2/12/2014" I fine light read. Reasonably enjoyable. "
— Steve, 2/12/2014" The plot and characters were okay, the writing competent, but nothing inspired or particularly thoughtful. I'm certain I'll forget everything about it tomorrow. "
— Chance, 2/9/2014" Great ending. Von, you'll like this one "
— Paulette, 1/13/2014" Light entertainment for a holiday read. Bit rushed towards the end. Interesting idea and well thought out end result-the author obviously knows science. "
— Alyson, 1/7/2014" An engaging science fiction read with great plot twists. "
— Andrea, 12/16/2013" Robin Cook-lite. That's what I'd say about this book. Didn't really hold my attention, the main characters were lifeless and flat, and the intrigue wasn't nearly as intriguing as it should have been. "
— Lin, 12/6/2013" not a good book. Story was way too far-fetched. Very disappointing since I normally like Mills' work. "
— Ben, 12/4/2013" Good plot, lots of action, but slightly unrealistic in places. It is fiction, right? "
— Marianne, 11/22/2013" I read this as an Ebook. I want to read more of his work. "
— Wendy, 11/20/2013" I enjoyed this; might give it a bit less than 4 stars, but I did have a hard time putting it down. "
— Cathy, 4/21/2013" Why do some authors suck you into an awesome story, then bam brings together the protagonists and I end up looking for a few chapters I missed! I really did like this novel and the ending also seemed hurried up, but at least it did tie up lose ends! "
— JoAnn, 3/5/2013" I am loving my new Kindle Touch and this was the first book I read on it. Very exciting with money, power, mystery, violence, and relationships. I thought the premise was interesting and fun. Lots of crazy people with too much money and power. Great book. "
— Meredith, 2/11/2013" not as good as previous books, bit lame at the end "
— Sablemorgans, 1/20/2013" Yeah, there were some implausibilities but not too far out there. It was a good story with lots of action. And it actually had a bit of a twist at the end--at least to me. "
— Louise, 1/19/2013" Hands down one of the worst books I have ever read. The story line jumps around from one place to another and never fully gets developed. Character descriptions are shallow at best making it hard to identify with any of them. Glad it was only $.99 on amazon. Zzzzzzzzzzz "
— Robyn, 1/8/2013" Good for what it is, a thriller, but a quick read with a semi-engaging plot. "
— Joe, 11/27/2012" Enjoyed the start but it fizzled out quickly and became far too predictable. Can't recommend very much. "
— Marla, 8/3/2012" Good holiday read. Well-written, fast-paced thriller. Not too brainless to be boring, but not so complicated to need too much concentration for a lazy Christmas evening. "
— Dale, 5/27/2012" Really enjoyed this - fast paced, involved. A fun read if you like medical mysteries and action. "
— Beth, 5/5/2012" The start of the book had me wondering if I really wanted to read it, but then it turned in to a medical thriller that I really enjoyed. The ending surprised me, but it was satisfying. "
— Debbie, 2/25/2012" Typical medical/science thriller: fast-paced, solid writing, with a few too many black SUVs and mysterious plane trips to foreign countries for my liking, but typical for the genre. The ending is not predictable. "
