A Warrior of Immortal Powers He was a mighty Scottish warrior who lived in a world bound by ancient laws and timeless magic. But no immortal powers could prepare the laird of Castle Brodie for the lovely accursed lass who stood before him. A terrible trick of fate had sent her 700 years back in time and into his private chamber to tempt him with her beauty - and seduce him with a desire he could never fulfill. For this woman he burned to possess was also the woman he had foresworn to destroy. A Woman Caught in the Mists of Time When Lisa felt the earth move under her feet, the fiercely independent 21st-century woman never dreamed she was falling...into another century. But the powerful, naked warrior who stood glaring down at her was only too real...and too dangerously arousing. Irresistibly handsome he might be, but Lisa had no intention of remaining in this savage land torn by treachery and war. How could she know that her seductive captor had other plans for her...plans that would save her from a tragic fate? Or that this man who had long ago forsaken love would defy time itself to claim her for his own....

"This is the best novel of the series so far. Getting transported back 700 years is a lot to take in, but Lisa is under control. After she realizes that she isn't dreaming she embraces her new reality, except for the small fact that she still needs to get to her time to take care of her dying mom. Circenn's character is shrouded in darkness and you don't understand why until the very end. Lisa keeps trying to figure out what's going on with Circenn and the changes he makes throughout the story and it's not until the utter end that she truly gets everything revealed."

" This was a great book to the series. I loved the playfulness of the characters. This could easily be one of my favorites from the series. "
— Delaney, 2/1/2014" I was going to write a review, but Im just completely blank. I will however say what I deem important to say - This book was awesome. Circeen had a manclub the size of an elephant. Lisa was horny all the time. They could freakishly read each others minds - a talent I wouldnt mind having with my husband. The story was funny. The story was great. A happily ever after with trimmings on top! "
— ♥, 1/31/2014" This series is so enjoyable. I highly recommend each and every book. "
— Katie, 1/26/2014" I really love this book. I was shocked to find out that Adam Black has a son. I like that later Adam gets his own story. I can't wait to read it. "
— Vivian, 1/22/2014" Not bad. Sort of predictable. Kinda cheesy. But the Happily Ever After was all worth it. I still like the Immortal Highlander and Kiss of the Highlander better. "
— Elizabeth, 1/17/2014" The end wasn't something I expected but the book was great anyway :) "
— Joy, 12/7/2013" good. just a quick fun read. "
— Ruth, 9/28/2013" Not too bad. I wasnt crazy about the end though. I feel like the author tried to wrap it up real quick... "
— Noelle, 8/25/2013" He's def not a MacKeltar.... "
— Angie, 5/22/2013" I enjoy the story line of how the Fae interact with the Celtic Lairds. "
— Carol, 5/8/2013" KMM writes another good one. It's a little slow out of the gate, but quickly picks up steam. A nice mix of time travel, paranormal and romance all rolled into one. "
— Sarah, 2/27/2013" Brody os very sexy in this and lisa is spunky lol great story but it gets a bit old as the stories follow the same sort of line but a good read 7/10 "
— Noreen, 11/17/2012" Gift from Meg. Take's place near and in Brodie castle which we visited on our Scotland adventure! "
— April, 9/4/2012" The story of Circen Brodie, the half-fey son of Adam Black, and Lisa, who is caught in a time warp when she touches a cursed flask. This one was good fun, and I would recommend it for fans of Moning. "
— Netanella, 10/30/2011" This was an easy read. Nothing too in depth especially with this being somewhat historical. Love the whole Scotland Warrior falling for the future girl thing. I will come back to this author when I am ready for something like this again. "
— Micheale, 5/20/2011" 3.5 out of 4. This was my least favorite so far in the series. "
— Molly, 5/9/2011" Author is slightly less formulaic in this fun read. "
— Patmcclain, 5/7/2011" I am listening to this series. If you do audiobooks, I highly recommend this series. The guy who reads the books is great. There are many great old-land Scotland acents which I love. I will admit, that I would probably not read these books, but I love listening to them. "
— Melanie, 4/30/2011" Better than I thought it was gonna be!

I liked Circenn... He's kinda cool.

Is it just me, or do all Moning's heroes look suspiciously similar?? "
— Maddux, 4/28/2011" This was not as good as the others. I do Love this series. I don't like Adam Black. He wasn't as good as the highlanders themselves. He as a twist that just didn't belong. Oh well.

I am sad KMM has said she has abandoned her highlanders. They were my all tme favorites. So sad. "
— Sassy, 4/24/2011" I can accept that it's not Fever quality, and I still enjoy the Highlander books.
I wud actually rec that you read b4 Fever if u haven't already indulged in #JZB. "
— Tamie, 4/19/2011" Best of the series, so far. We get some more info on Adam Black's background, which is important if you read the Fever series. I can't wait to get to AB's book, #5, I think. "
— Susie, 4/1/2011" I will agree with others on the ending- that sucked. I was liking this book so far the best of the series but then the ending?? that really surprised me. "
