"Actually listened to this book while working, which is the reason I give it four stars . . . not for literary merit (obviously), but for the "easy on the ears and mind while working" factor. High entertainment, but not so high you can't concentrate on what's at hand. Good for a few chuckles and lightheartedness. Kind, classy humor. Like having a best friend who tells solid jokes and you leave feeling better."

" Not a bad book - it had it's very funny moments, like when she was talking about the only way she could eat just ONE piece of pizza is if after eating one slice she konked herself in the head with a rock. However, the ending chapter was nonsense, and several chapters were pulled directly from her HBO special, which she referenced filming while she was writing this book. Not a great idea to share material between the two when they came out so close together. However, it kept my attention, and I really do like Ellen so it was worth the time! "

About Ellen DeGeneres
Ellen DeGeneres is a beloved stand-up comedian, television host, bestselling author, and actress. She hosts the syndicated talk show The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and was also a judge on American Idol in its ninth season in 2009. She has hosted both the Academy Awards and the Primetime Emmys. As a film actress, she starred in Mr. Wrong, appeared in EDtv and The Love Letter, and provided the voice of Dory in the Disney-Pixar animated film Finding Nemo, for which she awarded a Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actress, the first and only time a voice acting won a Saturn Award. She also starred in two television sitcoms, Ellen from 1994 to 1998 and The Ellen Show from 2001 to 2002. She has won twelve Emmys and numerous awards for her work and charitable efforts.
