"Kay Hooper is one of my favorite quilty pleasures as I am embarrassed to even admit that I believe it is possible to have some extra sensory abilities. Kay Hooper has taken that premise to the max. Her pyschics are very human people who find themselves working for the government in unearthing criminals and spies. In this novel, one of a trilogy, Sarah finds herself the unwilling receipient of pyschic powers after a mugging.Tucker,a novelist,in search of "real pyschic" comes to meet Sarah the night her home is burnt to the ground by what eventually will be shown to a conspiracy against anyone who might have pyschic powers and abilities."

" I read this as soon as it came out, but I hesitated to review it because it was not my favorite. I liked the plot, and followed it pretty well. I love that there is so much more that can be done with the story. I absolutely hated the main character. I found her whiny beyond belief and honestly wanted to smack her more than once. Toward the end of the book she pulled herself together and became fairly interesting. Overall, I would consider this like a trip to Disneyland with a disliked brother in law. Yeah, he's obnoxious and annoying, but at the end of the day, you still went to Disneyland. "
— Angie, 2/14/2014" I really enjoyed this book. The story is a new series by Kay Hooper and involves her interest in psychics. The books appeal to me because of an interest in them myself. It was a gripping read for me and once I'm done the book Jet, I might have to buy the next book in this series. "
— Laurie, 2/13/2014" Not the same. Sad there was no real updates with older characters. Felt like an in between book, poorly set up for a new direction on the series. A long time in between books and usually worth the wait. "
— Joanne, 2/11/2014" Fun mystery/romance that was suspenseful and interesting. Definitely looking forward to reading future installments. "
— Audrey, 2/5/2014" Interesting book about psychics and the possibility that they are increasing in number. Some group is trying to eithercontrol them or kill them. "
— Shirl, 1/15/2014" This one of the Bishop books started slow, Bishop wasn't much a part of this book either. I think I had such high expectations since the past books were SO good. Still worth the read. "
— Jami, 1/13/2014" Kay Hooper is fabulous with this series and SCU/Bishop series. Wish she could write faster. "
— Amy, 12/9/2013" So I always enjoy Kay Hooper but I have to say this was one of my favorites. The entire novel you are wondering who's who, it was well written and I can't wait for others in the series. "
— Dani, 11/29/2013" The biggest downfall of this book was the lack of characters from the previous Bishop novels. Where were they?? I guess I'll read the next because I have read them all to this point and overall they're enjoyable. "
— Bridget, 11/6/2013" I have read all the Bishop novels and was excited to see this first book in the Bishop Files. Not everything is tied up, but I know that as the series progresses we will get answers....and of course more questions. "
— Kimmie, 9/19/2013" Love Love Kay Hooper - Crime and physic ability all in one, thank you for another wonderful read "
— Lynn, 9/1/2013" I liked it. Can't wait for the next installment! "
— Monica, 8/26/2013" Liked this opening a new series. The characters of Sarah and Tucker are well developed. Their tie reminds me of Hollis and Reed from Blood Ties. Looking forward for more in the series. Hope to follow Sarah and Tucker as they battle the others. "
— Patricia, 7/17/2013" Good story but has to be a lead up to future books. But I am glad I read it and looking forward to the others in the series. "
— Robbi, 7/10/2013" Can't wait to read the next one. I am a little sad that it won't be all the same people in the next one but I hope it is just as good! "
— Stephanie, 2/27/2013" OMG.....................I LOVED it. I think the "Bishop" books are her best ones. I am looking forward to the next one! "

— Deb, 1/13/2013" My wife won this book as a giveaway, so I thought I would give it a try. It was real interesting and kept my attention until the end. If you were a psychic, though, you would already know that! "
