Henry, Jessie, Violet, and Benny are getting a personal tour of the Greenfield Firehouse. It’s fun to see the trucks and meet the firefighters. Benny loves to slide down the fire pole. So the children are upset to find out that the town council wants to tear down this wonderful old building.

The Aldens won’t let the firehouse be destroyed. They paint walls, have people sign a petition, and even hold a rally. But someone is trying to ruin everything. False alarms are called in; valuable trophies and old equipment are stolen. Can the Boxcar Children find out who is behind all this? Can they convince the town council to save the famous firehouse?
