John Fowles (1926–2005) was born in Leigh-on-Sea in Essex, England, and won international recognition with his first novel, The Collector, in 1963. His many other bestselling novels include The Magus, Daniel Martin, and The French Lieutenant’s Woman, which was made into an acclaimed film starring Meryl Streep and Jeremy Irons.
Shaun Grindell, actor and Earphones Award–winning narrator, was born and raised in Southampton, England. His training includes the Calland School of Speech and Drama and the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in London. He has been seen on stage in London and Las Vegas.
