Publisher Description

"Sizzle Factor: SPF 50. A secret marriage, lies about affairs . . . even sex on the day of the divorce party" (USA Today) a novel by the author of the New York Times Bestseller and Reese's Book Club Pick, The Last Thing He Told Me The second novel from Laura Dave, the acclaimed author of Eight Hundred Grapes and Hello Sunshine. In The Divorce Party, she captures a much-discussed cultural phenomenon that has never been profiled in fiction before-divorce celebrations-with her characteristic wit and warmth. Set in Hamptons high society, The Divorce Party features two women-one newly engaged and one at the end of her marriage-trying to answer the same question: when should you fight to save a relationship, and when should you let go? An insightful and funny multi-generational story, this deeply moving novel is sure to touch anyone whose heart has weathered an unexpected storm.

"This book was really good! I think it is my favorite of Laura Dave's three novels. I enjoyed the foil of the two woman and their relationship troubles, and as always, I thought Dave's writing was geat. I think this would make an excellent movie- Reese should have bought the rights to this one!"

" This was a really good idea for a book. I loved how you knew there were secrets but they slowly unfolded. I absolutely LOVED Gwyn and her real motives behind the Divorce Party. This would make a great beach read/afternoon at the pool book. "

" I enjoyed reading this book, but just know that it is a light read not suitable for a bookclub discussion. After reading a great deal on non-fiction I needed something that was just entertaining and this book more than served the purpose. A great vacation or plane read. "

" I read this because I liked "My First Husband" by Laura Dave so well. I thought this was original--the way it alternated between an engaged couple and a couple still in love, but whose marriage is falling apart. Good stuff! "

" This book was enjoyable but predictable. I read it fairly quickly, but was turned off by some of the grammatical issues. There were far too many sentence fragments for my liking, and I found quite a few spacing issues - lack of spaces between random words. The spacing could only apply to the Kindle edition, as I don't have a hard copy of the book for comparison. "

" Suprisingly, it was OK. I thaught this will be just one of those girlie books I will read and then think - My God, everyone can publish a novel, but the way author tells a story is very simple, but still not phatetic. Read if you want to know how marriage can end and that's not drama. "
