"I was secretly getting a little tired of Will Staunton and his know-it-all I've-read-the-Book-of-Gramarye-and-you-haven't ways until Bran totally pwns him in this book. Also, Wales sounds neat, and now I want to go there and be a sheep farmer. Best and most unexpected ending to a Dark Is Rising book yet! Onto the next and last one!"

" I liked this book better than the others in the series, but the book has the same problems as all the others 1) Will just always knows exactly what to do, and how to do it 2) The conflicts with the dark aren't very exciting when you know what the outcome will be since Will can't die and the signs can't be taken by the Dark once the Light has acquired them. "
— Crystal, 2/20/2014" This was my favorite of all the books in this series. "
— Marcelaine, 2/14/2014" This is arguably the best of the series. I said "arguably." "
— Audra, 2/12/2014" I thought this book was good. Will is back and he meets Bran, a curious looking boy, who isn't quite what he seems. "
— Katie, 1/28/2014" The first three books I could have counted on one hand the number of swear words. This one had a few more. "
— Nisa79, 1/13/2014" this one was good. she added a few new characters that made it more interesting. "
— Mary, 1/7/2014" Fourth book in Dark is Rising series, thought it was great! "
— Bonnie, 12/24/2013" My favorite book in the series. The pacing is perfect, the characters are well-developed, the story is clear and meaningful, and the setting (Wales) is gorgeous and dramatic. Great book. "
— Stephanie, 12/14/2013" (Genre: teen fantasy) My favorite installment of "The Dark is Rising" series. Will has been seriously ill and is sent to Wales to recuperate. This puts him in the position to continue his work in fighting the Dark. A little spooky at times, it is intense and interesting. "
— Darla, 11/28/2013" I like these books because they are short and easy to read, but because of that there just isn't much to them. The plot is very simple, and the character descriptions are straightforward. This one was not my favorite of the series, but I'll still eventually read the fifth and concluding book. "
— Bonni, 11/25/2013" This book is about as spooky as I like to get. It was set in wales which also made it interesting "
