Morgan is not who she thought she was. She is not a regular sixteen-year-old girl. She is a witch. A real, ancestral witch. Her parents are not her biological parents, and she and her sister share no blood.
Even in the coven, she is too powerful now, too different to belong. She is alone except for Cal, who is now her boyfriend. Cal tells her he loves her, and she needs to believe him. He helps Morgan accept the truth: Wicca is in her blood. As Morgan learns more about Wicca, she realizes that she needs to find out more about her parentage. The answers are there, she just doesn’t know how to find them.

"Morgan, learns how she is a blood witch and thinking her parents have to be as well, since that's the only way she could be, and finds out instead that she was adopted. Bree and Raven are now pissed at Morgan because Cal has chosen Morgan as the girl he wants to be with. "

" I don't like the Morgan's best friend Bree. The story and characters are interesting. Morgan's journey of discovery is intriguing. "
— Christine, 6/20/2011" Not sure what I think of this witch craft thing. I haven't read a book about witches before (except maybe Witch of Blackbird Pond that I don't remember anything about) so I think it's somewhat new and intriguing. "
— MaKayle, 6/7/2011" It was awesome! I enjoyed it so much! It made me curious and I wanted to know what happened next. It is defenetly a pageturner!!!! "
— Stefanie, 6/4/2011" On the second book, I am really outgrowing the Teen books. I am however, enjoying these books. They do keep you interested and so far are not so predictible. "
— Tracy, 5/31/2011" felt me wanting the third book "
— Margarita, 5/27/2011" It improved upon the first book as you get closer to the characters and beging to see the real magic come out. There is that rival between ex-best friends, the search for identity, and that touch of love that brings everything together. "
— Jessamyn, 5/12/2011" Still hanging in there. I zipped through this one in an afternoon. Again not feeling that Cal has much depth. A few interesting plot twists. I want to see what happens to Morgan! Again good for tween/teens! "
— Marci, 4/28/2011" This is the one where Morgan runs around town hysterically shouting at people:

You knew I was adopted!
That's MY Book of Shadows!
Ouch, my nose!

It also contains the legendary Morgan/Mary K. snack-led shopping trip. "
