"Nastasya is bad-freaking-ass. I love the whole immortal idea, and this book was a rewarding read. The characters were very real, and I identified a lot with Nastasya in her jpurny to self discovery and finding a way to get back in touch with life. When you live an immortal life, you're bound to develop some serious emotional baggage. I loved the themes in this series, how in addition to the main conflict of this story, the characters all have some inner conflict they're trying to solve. Very real, very emotional, with a happy ending. You should totally read this book. It rocked."

“A beautifully written trilogy starter, Immortal Beloved shows the true hardships and pain that come with a life lived too long. Nastasya fights so hard to keep sorrow from her life, using sarcasm to hide, but in time the readers are gliding along by her side, relishing the tale.”
— RT Book Reviews (4 stars)“Tiernan gives Nastasya a strong, distinctive voice and wonderfully realized perspective on the joys and horrors of history…First in a projected trilogy, the story necessarily leaves many questions open, but achieves a satisfying arc.”
— Publishers Weekly (starred review)“Kelly Lintz’s delivery is spot-on in her portrayal of Nastasya and her witty, sarcastic, laugh-out-loud personality, as well as in relating the events occurring in the story. Listeners will eagerly await the next volume of this intriguing, multilayered story.”
— School Library Journal (starred review)“Strong characterization powers this fast-paced novel. Nastasya’s…edgy, sarcastic voice, combined with her spunky attitude and raw, sincere emotions, makes her one to whom it is easy to become attached…Readers who enjoy character-driven works of romantic fantasy will flock to this book.”
— VOYA“With plenty of immortal teen angst and threats of lurking evil, this makes a strong choice for paranormal bibliographies.”
— Booklist" slow beginning chapters... wrapping my mind around the Immortals world was a bit confusing in the start, but once the story found it's pacing .. WOW! Very original plot.. refreshing after having read so much UF/Paranormal. I remember falling instantly in love with the Sweep series back in the day and I find myself loving this as well. The heroine really captures your emotions and you really understand why she is the way she is... just waiting to see more of the hero. Can't wait to read more! "
— Shivani, 2/17/2014" It took me a several tries before I finished this book. It didn't grab me for the longest time. I would read it in between other books. I just couldn't get into it. Then I finished all the ones I was reading and picked this one up again to kill some time before my next book binge. I have to say that once I just let go and READ it I was off and running. I read it in a day. And liked it way better then I thought I would. I'm picking up book 2 this weekend... :) "

— Lauren, 1/25/2014" A bit too detailed at times and a habitually slow pace with an even slower plot line but the story was decent and the characters relatable. "
— Lilibeth, 1/1/2014" This was the first book in a long time where I really just didn't want it to end. That's saying a lot, seeing as it has 400 pages. "

"
— Nicole, 6/6/2011" Excellent take of the negative aspect of immortality without being being sappy or trite. Looking forward to the next installment. "
