Pete Seeger (1919–2014) was a towering figure in American culture best known for his contributions to the revival of folk music in the United States and his activism. A masterful musician and a commanding spokesman, he remained true to his passions and principles, and his personal stories bear witness to some of our past century’s most scaring and triumphant historic events.
