After hitting the #1 spot on the New York Times list with her first novel, L.A. Candy, TV star Lauren Conrad continues the deliciously entertaining series about an ordinary girl leading an extraordinary life.
Full of dishy details about young Hollywood that only an insider can reveal, this entertaining novel shows that lies are only as sweet as the people telling them.
Jane Roberts was the average girl next door until she and her best friend, Scarlett Harp, landed their own reality show, L.A. Candy. Now the girls have an all-access pass to Hollywood's hottest everything. But there's more to life on camera than just parties and shopping....
When racy photos of Jane are leaked to the press, she finds herself at the center of a tabloid scandal. She turns to her co-star Madison Parker for help, unaware that Madison is scheming behind the scenes. She might be Jane's shoulder to cry on, but does Madison really have Jane's back?
Scarlett's working on a scandal of her own. She's fallen for someone who's strictly off-limits—which means Scarlett has a big secret to keep...from the L.A. Candy cameras, the paparazzi staking out her apartment, even from her best friend.
Of course, nothing stays secret for long for the stars of the newest hit TV series, and all this drama couldn't be better for ratings. But can Jane survive another season in the spotlight?

"I read Ms. Conrad's first book, L.A. Candy, and had trouble disassociating the characters in her book from her 'friends' on the tv show The Hills.... I got over this problem while reading Sweet Little Lies. This book is an EXTREMELY fast and brainless read. It's just like watching an episode of reality tv, it's a guilty pleasure. Although the author didn't veer far from her real life antics in showbiz, I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading the final book in the L.A. Candy series to find out what happens to the main character Jane and all of her friends."

" I have the same review for this one as I have for the last one. Not a great deal of originality but lucky I like readin so I did enjoy it. "
— Renee, 2/14/2014" Really liked it. Although I really wish that Braden appeared more, I liked his character a lot. This book is really focused on Scarlet and Jane equally, rather than just following Jane. Also, Madison appears a lot more than the previous novel, because of what she had done to Jane, the cliffhanger and all. Overall, I liked this book and I liked how it was short, because if it was any longer, I don't think I could have handled it, as it would just get repetitive and boring. "
— Cindy, 2/12/2014" I read this a very long time ago, and i actually read this book not knowing that it was part of a book series xD i didn't read the first one, i just read this & then found out.. But all in all it was a good book, too girly, but yeah it was good. "
— Fatima, 2/6/2014" I like these books, and I LOVE Lauren Conrad! "

— Shania, 2/1/2014" Again, another quick read. Liked it because now I am looking forward to the story line and following the characters. "
— Shannon, 2/1/2014" Not really litterary greatness, but I love 'The Hills' so much and had to read the books. This second book is as easy to read...and as fast to read as the first. "
— Emma, 1/26/2014" I wasn't sure if I could get into the book because it was a slow start, but as soon as it picked up I was hooked. Lauren Conrad makes the book easy to read but not too easy. She writes the book so the reader knows more than the character. That's where you get hooked! "
— Hannah, 1/20/2014" Read it in two days, really entertaing, a true inside of the so called "reality tv shows" "
— Alessandra, 1/15/2014" I love the characters! :) "
— Katie, 11/17/2013" book two, I couldn't wait to get into! no spoiler alerts here :) "
— Renee, 10/29/2013" This book was better than the first! I can t wait to read the third! "
— Karina, 10/27/2013" Once again it was an easy, fun read. It was interesting for me to see behind the reality tv shows. "
— Sarah, 10/26/2013" While reading this book, it's obvious that lauren Conrad is not a writer. This book is okay fora mindless quick read, but nothing more. "
— Megan, 10/21/2013" 2.5 stars. The hook at the end was not as strong as the end of the first one. "
— Kayla, 10/19/2013" This book is soooooooooooooooooooooo addictive. I'm serious!!! Lovin' it!!! recommended for YA. Lauren Conrad is actually a good writer (Y)!! "
— Keisya, 1/10/2013" loooooved ! "
— Ashley, 3/17/2012" Again a very easy read. "
— Annie, 2/11/2012" Total guilty pleasure. Not the best writing ever, but it keeps you and interested. entertained "
— Layne, 2/7/2012" It was pretty boring and the characters were annoying. Only Scarlet and Liam were bearable. Jane was a gullible idiot and Madison was a bitch. Wouldnt recommend it! "
— Rimsa, 11/23/2011" I wasn't sure I would be able to really get into this series but I have really enjoyed it "
— Brittnie, 10/30/2011" Fun summer read...good chick flick book but don't expect more than that "
— Tiffany, 10/29/2011" Don't judge me. Part 2. "
— ClaraItzel, 10/23/2011" I love the characters! :) "
— Katie, 5/15/2011" I liked it as much as the first- I read through it in a day, but still find it corny and the plot somewhat thin. But certainly an easy read. Should have saved it for a vacation read! "
— Erin, 5/4/2011" I started out as interesting since it is settled in Hollywood and focusses on a few stars in a reality show. But in the end, I couldn't care less about Jane and who she ended up with (Caleb, Jesse or Braden). The only character I really liked was Scar and Liam, but she got not enough storylines :( "
— Elke, 5/4/2011" Better than the first. I'm into this one more than i was the first one. "
— Victoria, 4/30/2011" The second book was as good, if not better, than the first. I like the way Lauren writes, it is incredibley easy to read - but still enjoyable, it really is like watching an episode of the Hills. "
— Misha, 4/25/2011" I read it. But it was pretty dumb. "
— Maddie, 4/20/2011" another quick & fun read! "
— Amy, 4/19/2011" What I thought about this book, is that it's really hard to get, because it's about people living in Hollywood, and it's pretty confusing when it comes to the main idea. "
— Sabiha709, 4/14/2011" A guilty pleasure and mindless read but now I am hooked on the series! "
— Elizabeth, 3/26/2011" I wasn't thrilled by this series. A friend raved about it as if it were a must-read. NOT. It's like reading a new season of The Hills. "
