"This 2nd book in "The Broadmoor Legacy" series was much better than the first. I still would like closure on Fanny's story, so I'm on to book three in hopes I will get it. The storyline in this book seemed to move a bit faster and didn't feel like it was rehashing the same thing over and over."

" I had a hard time getting into this one. I am not sure if it is me or the novel, but I don't care for this series too much. It is predictable and repetitive to me. Many in my Christian Book Group adore it though...I must be tainted in my opinion or just in a weird stage in life for Christian romance novels. "
— Cheryl, 1/30/2014" Kept reading this trilogy over a long, holiday weekend just to see if it got better. It did not. The writing is contrived and unnatural...trying too hard to be something like Pride & Prejudice...only highly irritating. I can see that the author's did vast amounts of historical research. That was interesting, but they tried to just throw it in at the most unusual places. It wasn't orderly. "
— Cynthia, 1/23/2014" I thoroughly enjoy these books! An easy read. I love the 3 main characters and love to hate the villian. It just makes me so mad that there could be such greed and deception within a family. "
— Teresa, 1/4/2014" The first half of the book was o.k. Sophie's character was a little annoying to me. Fanny and Amanda were likable but I struggled to get through the book. Half way through the book picked up some and Sophie was more likable. "
— Tiffany, 12/14/2013" Another novel in a series set in the Thousand Islands in late 1800s. I liked that the main character in an inspirational fiction novel gets pregnant and it is dealt with without judgement. "
— Stephanie, 12/4/2013" Well written but the ending part was not wrapped up well. I realize this is part of a series but it left to many unanswered questions. "
— Esther, 11/14/2013" Love this Series! Easy, Fun Read! "
— Melanie, 11/5/2013" This trilogy could of been condensed to one book. The hokey schemes of Uncle Jonas continue throughout volume two, still leaving us hanging at the end. Will he succeed in stealing the inheritance...who cares...I will not pay the cost of the third book to find out!!! "
— Darlene, 10/19/2013" This book, like the one before it was totally predictable. While I understand this is a feature of many romance novels, I like a little creativity in the plot. The only slightly interesting character is the villain, if I do read the third book it will only be to find out what happens to him. "
— Rachel, 7/27/2013" Better then the first novel, I'm looking forward to the final installment of this series. I wish they would be made into a Hallmark Movie!! Well anyone of these author's books would make great hallmark movies. "
— Lauren, 7/6/2013" Book was good, not spectacular, but still good. Looking forward to reading the 3rd one of the series. "
— Pam, 7/6/2013" I listened to this, as well, doing jobs at the house. A fun, bit cheesy, book. Does carry some Christian elements as well. "
— Kellie, 6/10/2013" Nice Story but a little slow "
— Liz, 12/11/2012" I may be biased due to the fact that I have started and been repulsed by multiple nonfiction books lately. I loved this romantic, quick, totally fiction book for a change. "
— Denise, 10/19/2012" Loved it more than the first book of this trilogy. Can't wait for book 3! Hopefully with that book ALL of my questions will be answered! "
— Cindy, 10/9/2012" Loved it! Especially the way all three girls' characters are changing throughout the series. Sophie is my new favorite. Can't wait to read the next one! "
— Beth, 9/7/2012" Other than being set largely in Rochester, I thought this was blah, blah, blah. Totally written to get you to read her other books which I won't be. "
— JJ, 5/12/2012" can't wait for book 3 "
— Rachel, 11/13/2011" Rather wordy, contrived, and somewhat unbelievable. Not really what I think of when I think "Christian fiction". "
— Acarrawa, 10/20/2011" There were no surprises to this book. The ending was as expected, and the book was well written. "
— Caroline, 8/13/2011" Similar to first book - fun, easy read. Looking forward to book #3 when it comes out this summer to tie up some loose ends. "
