Gabriel has always had his brothers to rely on, especially his twin, Nick. But when an arsonist starts wreaking havoc on their town, all the signs point to Gabriel . . . except he's not doing it. And no one seems to believe him. No one but a shy sophomore named Layne, a brainiac who dresses in turtlenecks and jeans . . . and keeps him totally off balance. Layne understands family problems, and she understands secrets. She has a few of her own. Gabriel can't let her guess about his brothers, his abilities, and the danger that's right at his heels. About the Author

Brigid Kemmerer is the author of the Elemental series. She started writing in high school, and her first real “novel” was about four vampire brothers causing a ruckus in the suburbs. Most writers enjoy peace and quiet while writing, but she prefers pandemonium—a good thing, considering she has three boys in the house, ranging in age from an infant to a teenager. Kemmerer lives in Maryland.

About the Narrator

Graham Halstead, an Earphones Award and Audie Award–winning narrator, is a professionally trained actor and voice artist. As an actor, he has worked internationally in Edinburgh and London, as well as at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. His youthful, easy-flowing voice can be heard on television and radio voicing spots for Airborne and Allegra.
