"Very good. Set in a small island community. Local cop hits a man on a stormy night. Man had walked in front of his patrol car, later we discover than he had been shot prior to stepping into the road. Christian cop has horrible guilt feelings. Dead man's wife gets involved. She actually kidnaps the cop and hides him in her basement. Yep. She and another cop have a baby kidnapping ring going on. Wow. Lots happening. Very good book"

— ginny, 2/10/2014" Terri Blackstock is my favorite author. She writes a really great mystery mixing everything from intrigue to real life relational issues. The message of Christ is clearly presented in each book. This series is great...I have them all. "
— Cindy, 2/9/2014" weirdly, i liked this one better than the first one. and i still think its just odd that a christian book is filled with gunshots and blood and kidnapping and all that. lol. but it somehow works. "
— Kim, 1/28/2014" A Christian based mystery....good book...its the second of a series and although I didn't read the first, that wasn't a problem. Easy read...went through it quickly and enjoyed the characters plus the plot. "

— Frances, 1/24/2014" Southern Storm is the second in the Cape Refuge series by Terri Blackstock. I had a very hard time putting it down once I started. It held my interest from the very first page to the very last page. I love a good mystery/suspense novel and Mrs. Blackstock manages to combine the best of a good mystery mixed with Christian faith. I'm very glad that I bought all four of the series together and can't wait to start #3. "
