" Kristan Higgins is at her best in this sweet, funny and touching romance. The story visits some favorite characters from her previous books. Parker is a single mom whose father just lost all her money. James is her father's attorney and helps Parker flip a house to try and make some money. They work on the house together but end up building much more... "

" I kind of became bored with KH's older books because they seemed to follow the exact same plot formula. I prefer her newer books because the hero is usually more involved and doesn't just show up in the last quarter of the book. This book was a cute read and I will definitely pick up her next one. 3.5/5 stars. "

" I read "The next best thing" first; although I think this one was realeased first. It doesn't matter though, both are cute and fun and heartwarming. I love Nicky (even if hes only briefly in the book), and Parker and Thing One are wonderful together. "

" I can see the humor, but I am not a fan of the characters, especially the hero. I think I felt that way about the last one I tried, too. This just isn't my author. (Also, I loathed all the slams on Kidlit and children's books and authors. Not an auspicious beginning for me.) "
