Remember the twin golden rules of hitchhiking?

#1: Don't go hitchhiking, because the driver who picks you up could be certifiably crazy.

#2: Don't pick up hitchhikers, because the traveler you pick up could be certifiably crazy.

So what if, on some dark, isolated road, Crazy #1 offered a ride to Crazy #2? Newly expanded, Serial Uncut is more horrific than ever, so proceed at your own risk. If you suffer from anxiety attacks, nervous disorders, insomnia, nightmares or night terrors, heart palpitations, stomach problems, or are of an overly sensitive nature, you should listen to something else. You have been warned....

    " Twisted but a good read "

" Meh. This book suffers from the same problem I think afflicts most horror films of the 80s (and some today): the monster is the hero and victims are empty tropes (the good girl, the jock, the nerd) waiting to be dispatched in increasingly creative and more elaborate ways than the last. This book suffers from the same problem. Narratives from the point of view of the killer(s) are hard to do and make the story relevant and compelling to the reader. There's dark character study (e.g., Jim Thompson's The Killer Inside Me) and then there's the killer as pop hero/anti-hero (e.g., A Nightmare on Elm Street 2, Saw II, and their sequels going forward). The book is entertaining enough, but lacks the moral center or depth of character that would elevate this above average slasher fic. What makes a horror tale scary is empathy with the victim, not an investment in carnage. "

" Well it didn't really fulfill it's promise and seemed like a few short stories that were linked together by a rather abrupt and not so fulfilling conclusion. "

" Oh what a dark and cleverly created story this was. I highly recommend it and hope someday to see a film adaption. This would get a bazillion hits on Youtube if made. "
