"After reading (and loving) Maria V Snyders' "Study" series (Valek is one of my all time favourite characters) I was more than eager to jump into this series. While the first one didn't dissapoint, I have to admit that I didn't like it quite as much as the first series. However, I can say that after a break from her books, coming back to this world was great. I loved the story and characters (Fink especially) and I can't wait to read the next one to find out how it ends. I would give it 3.5 stars, but from benifit of the doubt I'm going to make it 4."

" My favorite part of this particular book? How Opal calls her guard "Skippy" throughout the story. This girl's developed an attitude and that's what made this such a fun read. Still don't like this series as much as Snyder's "Study" series, but it's growing on me. "

" This is a continuing story from the first book. I felt at times that some of the same things the main character was going through is what Yelena went through in the author's other series. I really did like the book. "
