"While this was definitely a quick read, it was still great. The pace was fast, the situation interesting, and the book made you feel like you had stumbled onto a fictionalized account of a case history. Jesse Stone met Kelly Cruz and that also made for a more interesting plot. Loved the story. "

" Read much Parker? Pretty terse. Sounds like conversation. Not like Dickens. Nice guy. Good cop. "
— Jean, 2/15/2014" The Jessie Stone series are such a great series. I can't wait to finish entering my list of books I own and have read to find out which ones I have not read. I can't wait to begin catching up on some of my favorite authors, including this one. "
— Laurie, 2/8/2014" Pretty good beach read, fast and easy. "
— Kim, 2/5/2014" The first Jesse Stone novel starts out with a disgusting crime. But I liked Jesse Stone and did want to read other of his mysteries when I finished. Same warning as spenser. Language, Violence. "
— Susan, 1/19/2014" I don't want to give anything away, but there's a fair dose of depraved sexual behavior among the rich and clueless. I have to say that I'm a bit puzzled by Jesse's obsession with his ex-wife that fuels his jealousy and alcoholism. But then he's trying to figure it out as well. It all almost drove me to drink. "
— Monica, 1/15/2014" Interesting but sickish story. Not sure I enjoy reading about the underbelly of this world. "
— Cathy, 1/15/2014" This book was decent. It was not great, but not awful. I am hoping that the ex-wife will get out of the picture soon, but that does not seem likely at this point. "
— Pat, 1/12/2014" Not sure this was cozy enough for me. I've got it recorded and was waiting until I finished the book before watching the movie. Maybe Tom Selleck will cozy up the movie! "
— Evelyn, 1/6/2014" Good and creepy storyline well crafted by Rober B. Parker "
— Ted, 12/13/2013" I enjoyed this book a lot but not as much as his other books. I think it was because of the subject matter. I won't say what it is in case you want to read it. He is definitely one of my favorite authors. "
