Publisher Description

Middle sister Stevie considers herself to be the singer of the family, which is why she's thrilled to find out the school play is going to be a musical! But if she wants to try out, she'll have to go up against the drama queen herself-big sister Alex-for the starring role. Alex can't believe she's being betrayed by her own sister! Stevie doesn't even like acting that much. Sure, Alex would prefer a more refined play, like Romeo and Juliet, but a true actress should be able to do comedy as well as tragedy, right? And now, to make things even worse, little sister Joey has been traumatized after learning Beth's fate in Little Women. Can the Sisters Club survive all the drama? Best-selling author of the Judy Moody series Megan McDonald continues her charming Sisters Club series with Rule of Three. Narrators Suzy Jackson, Michal Friedman, and Jessica Almasy capture each sister's personality to a T. "Whether or not they have siblings, readers will root for all three characters ."-Children's Literature "Fans of Meg Cabot's Allie Finkle and graduates of Judy Moody will enjoy this offering."-School Library Journal

"Maybe I loved this because I'm one of three sisters. Or maybe because it was awesome!!! Cute story told mostly from the perspective of the middle sister, who decides to upset the balance of their close-knit family and go out for the musical, even though the sister is the actress. Super cute and a great next step for girls who have read the Judy Moody series."

" There's a lot going on in this book: cupcakes, tryouts for the musical, LITTLE WOMEN, and life in a family with three sisters. There is the story and then there are the journal entries, the lists, and the skits mixed in. And did I mention the cupcakes? "
