Judy Moody did not set out to save the world.
She set out to win a contest. A Band-Aid contest.
It all started with the Crazy-Strip contest—and the dream that she, Judy Moody, might one day see her very own adhesive-bandage design covering the scraped knees of thousands. But when her "Heal the World" motif merits only an honorable mention, Judy Moody realizes it’s time to set her sights on something bigger. Class 3T is studying the environment, and Judy is amazed to learn about the destruction of the rain forest, the endangered species (not) in her own backyard, and her own family’s crummy recycling habits. Now she’s in a mood to whip the planet into shape—or her name isn’t Judy Monarch Moody!

"Rare! We really like the Judy Moody series and although we've skipped around a bit, we are now working our way through the rest of the books in order. We like Judy's spunk, and I think our girls can empathize with her feelings. She is a very creative and spontaneous character and we love her interaction with her family, teachers and friends. Although she can be a bit impulsive and get into trouble, I know that our girls can empathize with her enthusiasm and creativity. I love that it shows how children can make a difference in our communities by recycling efforts and other ways to increase awareness about endangered species and keeping our environment clean."

" I like this book. I think it is a good idea that there they are saving the rainforest by gathering a lot of plastic bottles. What I don't like about it is that there was a gross beetle in it. "
— Sam, 2/14/2014" I really enjoyed reading Judy Moody books when I was back in Primary School. It was cool and really fun. "
— Fatima, 2/7/2014" read my first Judy Moody review. Same-same. "
— Shannon, 1/31/2014" It was pretty good, expect for the part where her brother, Stink, got the 2nd place prize in the Crazy Strips contest. "
— Kiwi, 1/19/2014" I am not so taken by the aptly named Judy Moody, but a thirty year old woman surely isn't Megan McDonald's target audience. It did present a plausible way for a group of children to do something proactive to help the environment. "
— Natalie, 1/8/2014" We really like Judy Moody. This is another great book in the series. "
— Jennifer, 1/7/2014" ahahah i LOVE the Judy Moody books! It's really old, but I never get tired of them... Seriously judy, you have emotional anger management problems, but i LOVE her character!! read it with your little sisters or relatives- she's filled with spice! "

— 'esther, 12/14/2013" I learned that you don't have to go all out to recycle. Even the tiniest thing like picking up a piece of paper or reuseing a water bottle one time could help the envirionment. "
— Jayla, 12/12/2013" This was a understanding book! "
— Nicole, 12/10/2013" Invite your friends to read this. Megan McDonald is one of the cool author!!! "

— Brett, 2/4/2013" Peter H. Reynolds is the illustrator. Author Megan McDonald makes 3rd grader Judy a garbologist (garbage detective) who engineers a bottle drive. The dialogue is brisk. Judy's brother Stink helps to keep the action moving. "
