"This book made me laugh, a lot. Mostly it was the interactions between the main characters. The woman was from France and knew English, well, but still was learning so certain phrases didn't make sense to her. She would also correct the guys English, which my hubby doesn't correct my English but always tells me how important words are and using them in the correct context, with the correct meaning behind them. So, I think the interactions meant a little more to. Anyhow, I really enjoyed this one. Books don't usually make me laugh our loud, smile sure, but not laugh."

" heart warning - some insights during this time period "
— Dana, 2/16/2014" Third and I believe the last book in this series. This is another highly enjoyable christian romance written by Ms. Alexander featuring a small Colorado town during the western expansion of the 19th century. The author does a fine job of illustrating the clash of cultures and social class experienced by the young french woman who comes to the Colorado in search of her father, and of course finds romance. "
— Joycelyn, 1/30/2014" This is the best of the trilogy "Fountain Creek Chronicles". A fun read; all the characters were very likeable and the romance was playful rather than the usual disliking each other in the beginning. "
— Kathy, 1/24/2014" good book. wasn't too crazy about the french in it & no translation, but I still enjoyed the book. "
— Jodi, 1/19/2014" I tried reading this book but couldn't get into it. I'm not usually one to like historical fiction so I guess the fact that I read the other two books in the series was enough. haha. "
— Kasi, 1/18/2014" It was an interesting book. I finished it a long time ago--don't remember the date. "
— Joan, 12/30/2013" 3 of 3. She is a great author. i hope she writes more. "

— Erica, 8/21/2013" Well gosh, i loved it! Tamera Alexander knows how to tell a story! I loved the characters and the plot and found myself, more than once, wishing I could find a Jack of my own ;) would reccommend it to everyone! <3 "
— Elmien, 8/9/2013" If you are looking for a clean romance series-this is a good one! Enjoyed all three of the books. "
— Mindy, 1/1/2013" This book didn't do as much for me. The plot fell a little flat and was quite predictable. I also find it very hard to believe that a woman of good standing would allow herself to be alone in a single man's company for such long periods of time. "
— Kate, 12/3/2012" I enjoyed the first two books in the series more than I did this one. The characters seemed a little flat and just too "nice". That being said, I still liked the characters and the storyline. I liked how a lot of the characters from the first two books showed up in this book. "
— Sue, 11/26/2012" Loved this book! The whole series is amazing. "
— Lindsey, 11/10/2012" This book is my favorite of all three Fountain Creek Chronicles books. I absolutely loved the characters and the story line. Wonderfully written! "
— Nicole, 6/24/2012" Finally read this series which came highly recommended by sisters and a friend or two and was not disappointed! Loved the storylines, characters, and everything about these books! "
— Jennifer, 5/9/2012" My favorite of this series! The main character is smart and independent and the story is so sweet! I love it! "
— Abby, 12/26/2011" dragged a bit and the heroine was a little clueless "
— Christine, 7/22/2011" my favorite historical fiction writer! "
— Dana, 7/8/2011" Entertaining with not too much christianity being pushed at the reader. Although I am not sure I care enough to go back and read books one and two. "
— Cary, 6/17/2011" Another good one! This series were my first books I read by Tamera Alexander and I couldn't put them done. They were all very good. I am bias because I am from Colorado so I can picture the beautiful mountains. They all had good subtle lessons to learn. I will be passing them on. "
— Sarah, 4/12/2011" I enjoyed this old fashioned western love story. "
— Vicki, 3/18/2011" ditto on my reviews of the previous books in this series --

plus a note on how much i enjoyed the french aspects of this one! "
