Tamera Alexander’s gripping debut novel is a “masterful blend of captivating story and technical excellence” (CBA’s Aspiring Retail). Set in the 1868 Colorado Rockies, Rekindled tells the poignant story of a man and wife whose life and love are forever changed. Bushwhacked and left to die in flames, rancher Larson Jennings is lovingly nurtured by a godly mountain couple. As his body slowly heals, he becomes spiritually transformed. But with his handsome features now scarred beyond recognition, Larson wonders if anyone can look beyond his grotesque burns to the better man he has become. Long presumed dead, he painfully limps home—to find his wife arm-and-arm with another man. As tears trickle down his disfigured face, Larson asks God to help him do what’s best for his beloved Kathryn. With the romantic irony of Rostand’s Cyrano de Bergerac, Alexander paints an unforgettable portrait of unselfish love. Download and start listening now!

" I really enjoyed this book. Marriage doesn't make for a happily-ever-after and this portrayed how God can heal a broken marriage when two parties are willing to follow Jesus. There were twists and turns I didn't expect and her characters are rememorable long after the book is put down. "

" This book really kept me reading and a part I want to remember When you talk to God be honest but remember he is Alpha and Omega the first and the last, and your not. That was Isaiah talking to Larson. I enjoyed Kathryn's story and really liked her as a person. Larson I did not like and after he was injured and took the name of Jacob I started liking him better and rooting for him.The book is a great read I would recommend it. "

" So predictable. That's all I can say about it. The author allows you into the heads of both main characters so you know exacly what is going on even if they don't. With that info, anyone could write the ending, so it's only worth finishing because of the time you've already invested into it. "

" While I enjoyed the book, the length of time it was taking Larson to reveal himself started to grate on me. Furthermore it was a bit irritating that Kathrine didn't seem to care at all that he spent all that time lying to her about who he was and even more so that in the end he was found out instead of standing up and admitting who he was. He was suppossedly taking this journey to becoming a better man, but couldn't manage to stop lying about who he really was. "

" It was one of my friends who send this book to me and just going by the genre I didn't pick up this book for long..Finally I gave upon over her insisting...I love to read romantic novels...Off late though I haven't been able to do ample justice to it....This book was passed on to me from a friend...As the title suggests its about the rekindled love between Katryn Jennings who leaves behind her family and wealth for the love of her life Larson..But soon after her wedding she moves to Colarado Territory and discovers that her marriage is not on par with the happily ever after tale.Small misunderstandings, conflicts creates much trouble between the couple slowly drifting away from each other..On a stormy Christmas eve Larson disappears leaving Katryn all alone with her grief and sadness, yet somehow she believes that Larson is alive somewhere..His absence rekindles the love and romance that they had missed with their saturating companionship..With a child yet to be born she keeps his dream of their home from falling apart..All of a sudden she is attracted to the disfigured ranch for no reason and strangely he watches over her as her guardian angel till the story sewed together into perfection..She also finds help from unexpected quarters @ Annabelle a local prostitute..Will Larson emerge after standing up various hardship to reach Katryn???, well read the book to know more ...The book picks on the flame of love that brightens after ten long years... Rekindled explores the distance strengthening the bond between two lovers to portray the faith and trust in the love of each other...Even as the relationship had become not so comfortable to each other , their absence lets them know the real value of in each others lives...I enjoyed the romantic moments between Larson and Katryn, the classic vintage romance..I am not sure if I would read the subsequent books of the series..I didn't go gaga over the book nor I was put off..The book has a warm and wonderful moments but may not appeal as a whole.... " I read this all in one day in two sittings. Well to be honest, it's now 5:22am... so just over one day. :) If you liked Francine Rivers' Redeeming Love or Tracie Peterson's Yukon Quest then you are sure to love this little novel. Heartbreaking struggle from both ends of a marriage to make things work in the best of times and worst of times with a second chance is just fabulous. A great read! "

" The writing was really well. I think I didn't give it 5 stars because I read it over a month long period because I only read after I have read the bible and sometimes there just isn't enough time in the day for extra reading. I really like this author though. "

" I would probably give this a 2 1/2 stars but that is not an option, so I rounded up. The overall theme of this book is interesting, but the details are so unbelievable it can be "cheesy" at times. That said, I found it a fun read; readers just need to be prepared for make believe :) "
