This is an exciting story set in Washington, DC where lawyer Jessica Ford is sent by her inebriated boss to fetch the First Lady and take her back to the White House. Instead, there is a crash where all but Jessica are killed, and she is on the run from people who would take her from her hospital bed and do away with her. She has some help from a Secret Service man, Mark Ryan, but it isn't easy for them to elude the pursuers. "

" I have read several of Karen Robards books. She is from Louisville so I try to support a "home town" girl. Her books are similar in nature to Nora Roberts and Sandra Brown.....romance/thriller types. I enjoyed this one and if you are looking for entertainment, you might enjoy this one. "
