"Decent. But like the first book, the author spends a lot of time on explanation and theory and build up of character before the action really hits. Probably not as satisfying for the "a new monster/explosion/attack every 5 minutes" Butcher-esque reader, nor for the crowd that prefers Hamilton style erotica. Takes some patience to get through and could have been streamlined a little, but I think it accomplishes what the author wanted it to. Will be reading the next one."

“[A] clever ghost-busting follow-up to her solid urban fantasy debut (Greywalker)…Richardson's view of the paranormal has a nice technological twist and features intriguing historical notes that lift this whodunit a cut above the average supernatural thriller.”
— Publishers Weekly“A good addition to fantasy and mystery collections; for fans of urban fantasy and paranormal mysteries.”
— Library Journal" I'm really enjoying Kat Richardson's work. This is the second of her title's that I've read and the intricacy of her plot lines a great. Her lengthy use of vocabulary is astounding and it's an added joy when I can just tell my eReader to look a word up I don't see very often or that's new to me. Before I would just skim over the word and get the jist of things now I actually am learning more. "
— Wendi, 2/16/2014" This is the second book in the Greywalker series. I do not think it is as good as the first but, I think it is worth reading. She learns more about her powers and there are some returning characters. The plot is okay but, a little convoluted. "
— Bonita, 2/14/2014" It's amazing that a group of people created a ghost by using their imagination to fuel it and make it be. I enjoyed this because it has great characters and a great plot. But I did have to skip over some technical mumbo jumbo. It hurt my head trying to wrap around what they meant and it wasn't too pertinent. "
— Cindi, 2/11/2014" I didn't like this book. The only reason why i didn't give it one star was that I didn't read the entire thing. I read about three fourths of the book. This is one of the rare times that i didn't finish, actually it might be the only time, a book. Personally i really don't like to not finish books. So for that alone i didn't give it one star. But if I do go back and read it if the story doesn't drastically change and get interesting in a short amount of pages then i will give it one star. "
— Michael, 2/8/2014" This book unlike the others I have read is an incredibly slow read. The story doesnt pick up til literally halfway through the book. That being said, when it does pick up expect to be glued til your done. Kat Richardson's use of historical places is amazing and makes one want to dig into the history of Seattle. "
— Cheryl, 2/2/2014" I'm liking this series - and better reading in order than 4th one second as I did! "
— Pat, 1/11/2014" If I hadn't fostered a vain hope that I'd find something to love about this book if I kept reading, I'd have put it down and walked away. It's another case of too much hype over a genre that is oversaturated with similar writers and storylines and that the paranormal angle takes more weight than any actual mystery. I probably will not be buying anymore books by this author. "
— Kim, 1/9/2014" Too much left unexplained regarding the entity. "
— Vivianne, 1/5/2014" i enjoy these books but they take me so long to get through. The author goes into so much unnecessary detail at times. Overall the story is good and I really enjoy the main character and the premise of the stories "
