"This was another one I had a hard time getting into. Once the story took off for me, I really enjoyed it. It wasn't as hot as the first one, but it was still really good. One of my big problems was that it was a long time between reading the first one and the second one, so there were many things I had forgotten. I think if I had read them closer together, it would not have been a problem."

I'd read all the other books before this one and while I'd wondered how Runa and Shade got together this was a bit of a surprise. Some of it was a bit predictable, some of it had me scratching my head thinking 'Huh?' but for the most part it was a solid story and the characters, all of them, are quite likable. Oh, and the back stories that lead to the rest of the books? Awesome! "
