"Amazing! I could not put this book down. I felt connected to the characters which rarely happens for me. I was also captivated by the imagery and felt like I was in the story. Definitely a good read and I cannot wait to read the second book of the Seven Deadly Sins series, Carnal Sin. "

" Unquestionably awful romance\supernatural that had potential if the author had only tried to do some tweaking. "
— Jill, 2/10/2014" Even though this one is #1 in the series, I feel like there was a lot of the story that was missing. I was very lost within the first 100 pages. They kept talking about events that happened a couple of months ago and how it related to what was happening now, but didn't do a good job to describe those events and the people involved. There was a lot of action, but it seemed like you were always a step behind. There were so many players and at times it was hard to keep them all straight. In the end I was very underwhelmed by this book and sad at that as I had high hopes for it. "
— Darcy, 2/8/2014" I would give this book 3 1/2 stars. It started out a little slow and wasn't what I was expecting from the author as it's different than the other books I've read from her. As I got into it I really enjoyed it and it left you really wanting to read the next one. There is so much about the characters still to learn. "
— Kathy, 2/7/2014" So sorry to give this a poor rating. I usually like books of the paranormal sci-fi genre, but I couldn't even muster the energy to finish this one, even as an audiobook. The story was too disjointed, the details and characters not engaging. I'm really not that picky and usually quite easily entertained. "
— Shelly, 2/6/2014" For some reason I feel like I've met Moira before. Her independent 'fuck you' attitude is similar to that of Dante Valentine (Created by Lilith Saintcrow) It felt like I was reading a watered down version of Saintcrow's work. It was fast-paced and in the whole 432 few things really happen. The lack of explanation pissed in the hand that feeds it. Most of the time I had to make up my own explanations to the very frequent missing links. "
— Shannon, 2/6/2014" Love the storyline about witches & would happily read again, can't wait for the next book. "
— Carol, 2/3/2014" Not bad books. "
— Brooke, 1/20/2014" Moira was chased by her witch mother who was trying to kill her. The Order of St. Michaels was helping her to rid the world of the witches who were bringing demons over from hell. "
— Joyce, 12/21/2013" Really enjoyed this book. Love Moira she's such a strong character. "
— Stacey, 12/12/2013" Amazing! I could not put this book down. I felt connected to the characters which rarely happens for me. I was also captivated by the imagery and felt like I was in the story. Definitely a good read and I cannot wait to read the second book of the Seven Deadly Sins series, Carnal Sin. "
— Michelle, 12/7/2013" Not to bad....Is magic and religion based so was a little hard for me to get into, but good enough to read the series....... Definitely for the sexually aware age group! "
— Tamie, 11/27/2013" I was in the mood for a somewhat girly romantic thriller, but this really didn't do it for me. The characterization was pretty poor compared to other books I've read by her. I can usually finish one of these in a day - its taken me about three weeks. I'd take a pass on this one... "
— Christine, 11/23/2013" This is my favorite Allison Brennan book by far. I'm loving this series! "
— Alisa, 11/11/2013" I can see why she only published two books in this series. It almost put me to sleep, because I feel she writes better suspense novels than fantasy. It didn't keep my interest. "
— Katey, 11/1/2012" I kept feeling as if I was reading the second book in the series even though this says it's #1. Otherwise it was an interesting read...I will probably pick up the next in the series. "
— Me, 9/22/2012" This was a pleasing change from what Brennan usually writes. While all of her books are a good read, this one is a must! I am definitely looking forward to the books in this series! "
— Kim, 5/10/2012" This book was a really good one. I enjoyed it and I enjoyed the second book in the series. I hope Ms. Brennan comes out with the third soon. It feels like I've been waiting forever since I read the second book in the series. "
— Noelle, 3/28/2012" Great suspense! Can't wait to finish Carnal Sin! "
— Cate, 1/29/2012" very good. i was surprised because i thought it would turned out to be something different that what i have excepted but it turn out pretty. i can't wait to read the next book in the series. "
— Brianna, 11/2/2011" Great start to a new paranormal series!!! "
— Night, 5/18/2011" a good story, and entertaining. the pace definitely keeps you on your toes from start to finish. just gets a bit overwhelming with all the "suddenly's". A bit confused over the animosity between Anthony and Moira. "
— Loretta, 5/11/2011" I enjoyed this book. There was a lot happening all the time and a lot of suspense. "
— Wendy, 3/24/2011" loved it....i picked it up for just something to read on a road trip and couldn't wait for more....now i'm just waiting for the third book and i am very excited to read her new series that just came out.... "
— Michelle, 3/8/2011" Unquestionably awful romance\supernatural that had potential if the author had only tried to do some tweaking. "

— Tamie, 2/6/2011" This was my first "paranormal" read and I found it a little overwhelming at first but by the end of the book I was impressed. Look forward to reading the rest of the series as they are released. "
— Maria, 1/12/2011" You'll be holding your breath as you turn every page. Every chapter has..something exciting or scary in it. Loved it! Though, I won't rate it until I read the second book, Carnal Sin. "
— Gee, 11/30/2010" Really enjoyed this book. Love Moira she's such a strong character. "
— Stacey, 8/2/2010" This book was ok. I'm not really into fantasy books. It also seemed like there should have been a book prior to this one to explain many of the details. "
