" For a book about a smalltown in Kentucky, there is a lot going on!
Firstly, I did enjoy this book. The alpha male trope can get annoying, as did the lack of communication between the main characters. When a book relies on that continuously, to elongate the story to build tension, it can get frustrating .
In saying that, Rowdy was an attractive alpha male to read about (purely because he is fictional) and Kelly had her moments of interest, but unfortunately, her character was built entirely around the Rowdy and how to show what a "man" he is.
Definitely not a story for someone with triggers, as the male lead pushed to use sex as a way to alleviate the terrifying trauma of a near rape.
At first it was difficult to figure out which character the "voice" belonged to but after getting use to the narrating, it got easier. "
