"Im, currently reading "Nathans Run" and its about a boy named nathan that ecapes from "Juvinale detention" and is on the run. Im about 50 pages in and its getting to where he has to find a place to sleep. He also has to get something to eat. Meanwhile a detective is on the intence run to get him. Also he wakes up and starts talking to a radio talk show host on the radio. He explains his story on the radio and gets a lot of people to agree with him on why he escaped. When he is talking on the radio the cops are listening to him and trying to figure out where he is and if they will be able to catch him"

“The book has an engaging, plucky hero and a breakneck pace, and it is likely to become both a smash best-seller and a big-budget film.”
— Booklist“Mix George Guidall’s top-notch narration with John Gilstrap’s taut, well-crafted story of a juvenile criminal running for his life, and the result is sure-fire entertainment. Guidall’s use of nuance, tone and emotion to delineate characters marks him as one of the best narrators around.”
— AudioFile“Gilstrap’s debut work gallops along at breakneck speed to an ending that is guaranteed to evoke a strong emotional response in the reader. Highly recommended.”

— Ainslie, 2/14/2014" I thought this book was one of the best I've ever read. It starts out with a boy Nathan admitting to killing a cop however he swore it was in self self defense hahahahahahahahaha. It leads on crime spree though he seem like a normal kid. Read the rest. "

— Rod, 9/25/2012When John Gilstrap’s first novel, Nathan’s Run, hit the market in 1996, it set the literary world on fire. Publication rights sold in twenty-three countries, the movie rights were scooped up at auction by Warner Brothers, and John changed professions. A safety engineer by training and education, he specialized in explosives and hazardous materials, and also served fifteen years in the fire and rescue service, rising to the rank of lieutenant. That “first” book was really his fourth, and that one call from an agent (after logging twenty-seven rejections) changed the trajectory of his life. Twenty books and seven movie projects later, it’s been a good run, and it’s still running. Outside of his writing life, John is a renowned safety expert with extensive knowledge of explosives, hazardous materials, and fire behavior. He lives in Fairfax, Virginia.
