Author of Compulsion and Psychopath, and the only forensic psychiatrist writing suspense, Keith Ablow is being hailed as the heir to Thomas HarrisJohn Snow is a brilliant inventor who has made millions from his genius in aeronautics. He has everything a man could desire: wealth, family, even a beautiful mistress. But he also has a brain disease, a rare form of epilepsy, that threatens his most valuable possession—his mind. Only one doctor may be able to cure it surgically, but at a terrible cost, one that Snow reveals to no one: Snow will have no memory whatsoever of his past—of its emotional entanglements or its secrets. The night before he is to enter the hospital, he is murdered. Forensic psychiatrist Dr. Frank Clevenger delves into Snow's complex past and tortured relationships to unlock the identity of Snow's killer: Was it the wife who can never forgive what he's done to their child, the son who loathes him, the beautiful mistress who takes pleasure in inflicting emotional cruelty, or the business partner who helped him build his fortune?

"Finally, a mystery with a psychological probe that I wish for but almost never get. Those who will like this book the most are probably people more interested in solving the "why" aspect of a mystery rather than "who" did it. I'm going to check out what else he's written. “Murder Suicide poses intriguing questions...When Clevenger calls everyone into the room at the end, his solution and its surprising twist reminds us of the best of Rex Stout's master-manipulator, Nero Wolfe. And that's only one of the good reasons to pick up this tightly plotted book.
Only Thomas Harris does it more stylishly.
You can see why...Ablow is compared to Thomas Harris.
The suspense is riveting and the outcome surprising in this first-rate thriller.

" Pretty thrilling. Didn't see the ending coming. The usual requirements for this type of book. "
" I've seen Keith Ablow, M.D. on several TV shows but didn't know he was an author. This one keeps you guessing as to "who did it" and draws in a lot of his forensic psychiatry experience, but it was understandable. A different insight to the character's thinking and actions. "
" That was a one day read, but an exciting one. Moved fast, a lot of suspects, many twists and turns. Very surprising ending. A good mystery read! "
" Another great psychological thriller by Dr. Ablow. I love the analysis of the criminal's mind. "
" People are so complex! This is triggering all of my latent psychology interests. "
" Completely wowed me. A worthy follow-up to Psychopath. Keith's characters have developed so much depth since Denial, it doesn't seem possible that you're reading fiction. I couldn't put this down. "
" This was a pretty decent read. Kept me wondering right till the end. "
" I totally guessed who killed him and i got it right. YES!!!!! "
" I really enjoyed this read, to me the characters were convincing and a good story line. "
" Another good one from Keith Ablow. I didn't enjoy this novel as much as I did his novel, Psychopath, but it was still a good read. "
" Clevenger looks for the murderer of a multimillionaire inventor. "
" good read but enough with the winking already. "
" Well writes. Good read. "
" A dark and dreary mystery movie that I would not recommend to anyone who doesn't like dark stories. "
" A very average read and fortunately, without a heavy hand on the internal musings of the trying-to-overcome-psychological-trauma hero, which is new for Ablow "
" I haven't read anything by this author before but he was alright. Alas, I predicted the ending again. Good book for someone who can't figure it out. "
" It seemed very unrealistic that Frank Clevenger could step over the boundaries like he does with the characters in this book. "
" Fast moving 5th book in the Frank Clevenger series, plot wasn't bad and certainly held interest. I like the authors ability to portray the worries and insecurity of the lead character. Looking forward to completing the series. "
" I love the way that Keith Ablow writes with such ferocity. While I'm getting a bit tired of Clevenger's (the lead characters) personal drama, I love it when his professional dramas are detailed. "
" My favorite so far! A quick and captivating read that had me guessing until the very end. "
" A murder has been committed, and Gary-Stu Keith Ablow oops, sorry, I mean Frank Clevenger is off to solve it. Oh, and get laid by the pretty ladies of course! I think that sums up how I feel perfectly. "
" Amazing!!!!!!!! Can't put it down! Read it in two days, it was that good!!!!!!! "
