The trial of twenty-five year old Casey Anthony for the death of her daughter Caylee was the most sensational case in America since O.J. Simpson's—with a verdict every bit as stunning. After being acquitted in July 2011, Ms. Anthony instantly became one of the most infamous women in the world. Dr. Keith Ablow distills tens of thousands of pages of documents he has obtained, his behind-the-camera, one-on one interviews, and his decades of experience in the world of forensic psychiatry to make sense of a woman whose defense attorney described as an innocent victim of childhood sexual abuse, but the state insisted was a cold-blooded murderer. Inside the Mind of Casey Anthony delivers an incisive, riveting way of understanding this troubled young woman.

"I took an interest in this story, as many women did, because what happened is unthinkable. This psychological portrait helped me to understand a little."
— Jackie (4 out of 5 stars)
I'm writing this as a forensic psychiatrist and journalist. My goal is for people to understand as much as possible about how this little girl disappeared from the face of the earth by using psychological reasoning as a lens to explore the death of Caylee Anthony.
— Keith Ablow in Hollywood Reporter Feature on INSIDE THE MIND OF CASEY ANTHONY" I was pretty disappointed with this book. A low speculates far too much. While there is some insight offered into Anthony's state of mind, much of this book is supposition upon supposition. I worry that a layperson or student hoping to gain insight into criminological explanations for behavior will et an incomplete picture. Ablow's repetitive use of phrases (psychological oxygen) and excessive use of metaphors is beneath him as a professional. "
— Meridith, 12/8/2013" This book explores a lot of different variables to think about. "
— Rebecca, 11/3/2013" I have a Masters in Forencis Psychology and this brought me right back into the classroom. Insightful and an interesting view point of a monster. I don't think anyone could ever get inside her mind - nor would they want too. "
— Heather, 10/30/2013" This book was written by a psychologist that did not actually interview Casey Anthony, but puts together theories based on the trial. If some of the allegations are true, this is one messed up family. It also, brings some sense as to why Casey may have killed Caylee. This does not justify what she did but rather give some reasoning behind it. "
— Marnie, 9/30/2013" A very interesting take on the case. Not so sure I agree completely. But Ablow raises some interesting points. Definitely worth the read. "
— Reena, 9/28/2013" Yeah, right. "
— big, 9/18/2013" Most of this book happened in Ablow's mind not in reality. "
— Dolores, 7/31/2013" Garbage. Spoiled disfunctionsl family. "
— Robin, 6/26/2013" Way to repetitive! I got the point the first time. "
— Amanda, 6/3/2013" A whole new perspective on Casey Anthony and her family. I don't know if I believe everything this author writes, his writing tends to the florid, but his view as a forensic psychiatrist is verrry interesting. "
— Renee, 3/8/2013" It had a lot of the family's background in the beginning which was very good. It had way too much information in the bad sense because it was to repetitive but from the middle to the endd u will not regret reading this book "
— Veronica, 3/7/2013" This certainly gives a different viewpoint into her reasoning behind the murder of her daughter. "
— Julie, 12/9/2012" Interesting view of her childhood. "
