Publisher Description

The streets of Stoneham, New Hampsire are lined with bookstores...and paved with murder. When she moved to Stoneham, city slicker Tricia Miles met nothing but friendly faces. And when she opened her mystery bookstore, she met friendly competition. But when she finds Doris Gleason dead in her own cookbook store, killed by a carving knife, the atmosphere seems more cutthroat than cordial. Someone wanted to get their hands on the rare cookbook that Doris had recently purchased-and the locals think that someone is Tricia. To clear her name, Tricia will have to take a page out of one of her own mysteries-and hunt down someone who isn't killing by the book.

"Cute little cozy mystery. I figured a lot of things out, but the characters and the settings were quirky enough to keep me flipping through the pages. I'm looking forward to getting to the rest of the series! "

" Sweet and quick to read. I had inadvertently started with the fourth book in the series and again found the end a surprise. Unlikely ending, but the whole plot and the development of the characters relationships is charming. "

" Good, fun read. A little more solid than your typical first in series, the plot kept me guessing as to whodunnit. I found the main character slightly annoying in the first few chapters, but as the book went on I grew to like her more. "
