Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle loves everyone, and everyone loves her right back. The Children love her because she is lots of fun. Their parents love her because she can cure children of absolutely any bad habit. The treatments are unusual, but they work! Who better than a pig, for instance, to teach a piggy little boy table manners? And what better way to cure the rainy-day “waddle-I-do’s” than hunt for pirate treasure in Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle’s upside-down house? “Each of these stories has obviously been told over and over to delighted children, who must throng around their author as the youngsters in the book do around Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle herself.” — The Chicago Tribune

"This book makes me smile every time I open it. The old-fashioned innocence of a simpler time mixed with the most spectacularly creative magical cures ever gets me every time. I wish every neighborhood had a Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle for correcting bad behavior. Plus, the last chapter with the treasure hunt for the last of the hidden money is nothing short of a child's dream come true. By far my favorite of all her books."

" I read this series to my kids at the beginning of every school year. They love it! The whole series is great for tacking some of those "quirks" that kids have such as tattling, picking up after themselves, listening, crying (over the tiniest of things!) and bad table manners! What a fun way to teach kids how to treat themselves and others! Classics from my childhood that have stood the test of time! "
— Amanda, 2/17/2014" still liked but a little less than the others "
— Mckinley, 2/14/2014" My daughter says we have to begin reading the third book in the series tonight, so her enthusiasm for the story remains intact. "
— Jennifer, 2/4/2014" Here again Ryan and I are conflicted - he really liked this book and wants to listen to it again. I didn't really like it. Though it had some good messages, the presentation was old-fashioned and degrading. "
— Tiffiny, 1/26/2014" Just as I remember! Funny and charmingly dated. "
— reed, 1/16/2014" This wasn't my favorite Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle book, but the final chapter is especially delightful, with a touch of poignancy that children and adults can both appreciate. "

— Lanette, 3/8/2013" Another great Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle book. In this one, the solutions to the children's bad behavior involves a bit of magic. :) "
— Jenn, 2/9/2013" Cannot believe how much I still enjoy this favorite childhood series. I can hardly wait until my granddaughter is old enough to share the story of this very good witch and her cures. "
— Gail, 12/24/2012" MCL. I liked the Thought-You-Saiders Cure. It was funny when Darsie thought her father said "Fleas gasp and mutter," instead of "Please pass the butter." "
— Nora, 12/9/2012" Just finished reading the second book in this series to my kids. I enjoyed the first book and found this one lacking. Even my boys were not as drawn to the story this time. Will finish the series, but will take a break for a while. "
— Brooke, 7/27/2012" To see the magic, one only has to look close enough to laugh. "
— Tammy, 7/10/2012" My family LOVED this book. Even my toddler begged me to read it each night. I loved that they learned lessons through choice and consequence in a humorous yet series way. We're now reading the second book. "
— Shiloah, 4/11/2012" Full of fun and magic. My children loved Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle and her antics. This a fun one to read to the children, too. "
— Rusty, 12/20/2011" All Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle's cures are so hilarious! You (whoever you are) have got to read this (even if you've read it already) "
— Nix, 11/10/2011" Not as inventive as the first book. Less imaginative cures because everything is magic powder, which makes it less interesting. Also, the chapters are really long, which isn't really a critique of the book but I like to get the bedtime routine over with, you know? "
— Emily, 6/10/2011" AWESOME BOOk!! When i was in 3nd grade!! "
— Radiya, 4/4/2011" Where is Mrs. Piggle- Wiggle? This book was recommended by a third grade student as a "must read." I read the book and enjoyed the story. "
— Isela, 4/1/2011" This one was just okay, the magic pills weren't as good as the other solutions used in the first book. "
— Amy, 1/2/2011" Full of fun and magic. My children loved Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle and her antics. This a fun one to read to the children, too. "
— Rusty, 12/4/2010" Some children's books withstand the test of time better than others. This one falls in the "others" category. "
— Kelly, 11/14/2010" This wasn't my favorite Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle book, but the final chapter is especially delightful, with a touch of poignancy that children and adults can both appreciate. "
— Tonydowler, 9/17/2010" I read this to my children. They really liked it, even though it is old fashioned. It was a hard book to read aloud because there are incredibly long sentences and very little punctuation. "
— Bobbi, 9/2/2010" Here again Ryan and I are conflicted - he really liked this book and wants to listen to it again. I didn't really like it. Though it had some good messages, the presentation was old-fashioned and degrading. "
— Tiffiny, 7/14/2010" It isnt so much a story unto itself but a series of short stories to try to get kids to see there is a better way. I made my daughter read "bad table manners cure" outloud. Now I just need to get my hands on a few of these potions .... "
— Twyla, 5/14/2010" This was a great read aloud for my kids. Ages 3, 6, 8 and 10 were laughing their heads off...although the 3 year old was mostly laughing at her siblings reactions. It was nice to find something they all enjoyed that was new to me too. "
