Private Investigator Regan Reilly and her husband Jack, head of the NYPD Major Case Squad, find themselves involved in a case that takes them from the beautifully preserved Victorian resort town of Cape May at the southern tip of the Garden State, to the casinos, shops, and boardwalks of Atlantic City, to the music hall and restaurants of Asbury Park. Having grown up in Summit, New Jersey, Regan has many old friends and acquaintances who frequent the beautiful sandy beaches that line “The Shore.” She runs into a few of them while working on this case. One of them she almost doesn’t recognize. Turns out there is more than a good reason…

Following on the heels of Carol’s most recent New York Times bestseller, Wrecked, a “thrilling mystery with unexpected plot twists and Clark’s trademark humor,” (Daily Beast, Hot Read of the Week), this latest installment in the Reagan Reilly series will be welcomed by listeners of all ages.

" Don't judge me too harshly for my love of lowbrow fiction! Carol Higgins Clark's books are as simple as her one word titles, but for quick poolside read they are just right. "

" A good summer read as it takes place at the beach. Regan and her mother head to the jersey shore to help her friend at her garage sale. It turns into a case of a missing actress that had rented the house. "

" Regan goes down to the Jersey shore for her mother's birtday. They attend Edna's garage sale. Look for missing actress Cleo Paradise and there is generally just a lot going on. "

" This was just OK. There were too many ultra quirky characters in this story. I like the Christmas books she writes with her mother much better. "

" This was a quick, fun read which all the Regan Reilley books are. Carol Higgins Clark does a great job creating a variety of interesting, and often twisted, characters and surprises you with who's done it. "

" Although I don't like her writing as much as her mother's, and although everyone is a little-too-conveniently tied together, and although it's just mindless reading, I do enjoy her books. "

" Another fun read from Carol Higgins Clark. A light mystery, there are always lot of entertaining characters and enough twists and turns that while you may have met the bad guy(s), the end result isn't quite what you expected. Quick and fun, I always look forward to these releases. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Susan | 5/15/2011

" Another quick read in this enjoyable series...I may be partial due to the "Jersey Shore"setting. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Dawn | 5/12/2011

" Like all her Regan Rielly mysteries, this one was short, funny, and not too scary. A good choice for me when I don't have a lot of time to read. I can put it down for a day or so, and not loose track of the story or important details. "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Jennifer | 5/10/2011

" I love Carol's books (and her mom's) because they take place in New Jersey. I really like recognizing the towns and places in them. This book was a bit anti-climactic, but good. "
