Publisher Description

It's up, up, and away with sleuth Regan Reilly in a lively new caper from beloved New York Times bestselling author Carol Higgins Clark.

LA–based private detective Regan Reilly flies to Las Vegas to help an old school chum, Danny Madley. Danny is producing the pilot of a reality TV show, Love above Sea Level. But someone is trying to sabotage Danny's show before he can shoot the final scene at the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta.

Is the culprit one of the contestants on Danny's show? Could it be the advice columnists Danny has hired who are there to help rekindle the sparks between the husbands and wives? Is it Danny's right hand man Victor, a local Vegas boy Danny met while gambling? Or is it his cameraman Sam, who would much rather be surfing than working? There is no shortage of suspects—and no shortage of mishaps.

From their base in the Fuzzy Dice Hotel, Regan tries to help Danny keep his production on an even keel. Jealousy among the Love above Sea Level contestants escalates. Mysterious, inexplicable events keep occurring. But Regan is determined to keep Danny's show on schedule, and she'll do whatever it takes.

Popped is written with Clark's expert light touch and filled with the richly drawn quirky characters so relished by her fans. As Nelson DeMille says, "Clark keeps her readers entranced and entertained from cover to cover."

"I love Carol's books (and her mom's) because they take place in New Jersey. I really like recognizing the towns and places in them. This book was a bit anti-climactic, but good. "

" Don't judge me too harshly for my love of lowbrow fiction! Carol Higgins Clark's books are as simple as her one word titles, but for quick poolside read they are just right. "

" A good summer read as it takes place at the beach. Regan and her mother head to the jersey shore to help her friend at her garage sale. It turns into a case of a missing actress that had rented the house. "

" Regan goes down to the Jersey shore for her mother's birtday. They attend Edna's garage sale. Look for missing actress Cleo Paradise and there is generally just a lot going on. "

" Although I don't like her writing as much as her mother's, and although everyone is a little-too-conveniently tied together, and although it's just mindless reading, I do enjoy her books. "

" This was a quick, fun read which all the Regan Reilley books are. Carol Higgins Clark does a great job creating a variety of interesting, and often twisted, characters and surprises you with who's done it. "

" Another fun read from Carol Higgins Clark. A light mystery, there are always lot of entertaining characters and enough twists and turns that while you may have met the bad guy(s), the end result isn't quite what you expected. Quick and fun, I always look forward to these releases. "

" Like all her Regan Rielly mysteries, this one was short, funny, and not too scary. A good choice for me when I don't have a lot of time to read. I can put it down for a day or so, and not loose track of the story or important details. "
