"Definitely my favorite in the Miss Julia series!! There was so much more humour and the narrator, Cynthia Darlow, was the best she has been in the series. A new addition to Miss Julia's circle adds to new dimensions to the characters and paves the way for future fun."

" Ann Ross makes me want to meet Miss Julia and every book this woman i admire more "
— lorraine, 8/1/2017" I really enjoy the characters in this series. This twelfth book finds most of my favorites in their typical places. Hazel Marie is expecting twins and Miss Julia has arranged for Etta Mae to come and assist before and after their birth. A dead body showing up in the toolshed of little Lloyd's teacher's house launches Miss Julia into her typical take charge and figure it out mode along with her very reluctant assistant, Lillian. It all proves too much for Sam and causes considerable friction between Miss Julia and Sam. Miss Julia's efforts to resolve things is entertaining. "
— Nancy, 2/4/2014" Hazel Marie's twins arrive during a snowstorm and Miss Julia tries to find out why a dead body was found in Lloyd's teacher's tool shed. Another fun read from Ann Ross. "
— Nancy, 1/27/2014" Another in the series - have to keep reading to find out what's happening to Miss Julia and all her friends in Abbottsville. "
— Maura, 1/25/2014" not my favorite in this series. "
— Leslie, 1/25/2014" I love Miss Julia. I recently recommended her books to a 90-year-old who thinks Miss Julie is a "hoot"! "
— Leigh, 1/16/2014" It was my least favorite of all of the Miss Julia books, but I still admire Julia's spunk. "
— Kathy, 12/25/2013" Gotta love Miss Julia. "
— Midge, 12/22/2013" I love the Miss Julia books and this one is no exception. If you're looking for a fun Southern novel with a little mystery thrown in, try the Miss Julia series. "
— Michelle, 12/19/2013" Loved the series, but this was one of my least favorite. "
— Kristie, 12/18/2013" I enjoy the gentle humor of this series as well as Miss Julia's insistence that she doesn't meddle when she is right in the middle of someone else's business. "
— Laurie, 11/20/2013" That Miss Julia is always getting into trouble despite her telling herself that she won't. I have thoroughly enjoyed each of Ann B. Ross's books on Miss Julia and her friends and family. I can't wait for another of Ms Ross's books to come out. "
— Ilean, 11/20/2013" A series that is light and fun! The characters make this such an enjoyable read and the southern setting only adds to the charm. "
— Mswapp, 11/20/2013" Love Miss Julia and all the wonderful characters...especially Sam! "
— KayDee, 11/17/2013" Love the series but this one does not compare to the previous ones... "
— Elzbieta, 10/19/2013" For crying out loud! If Sam and Miss Julia can't get their relationship figured out by now it's too late. I've so enjoyed the Miss Julia series, but this one seemed forced. "
— Lisa, 5/23/2013" I so enjoy these books. This one did not disappoint. "
— Mary, 5/3/2013" 3.5 rounded up. Miss Julia makes me laugh. "
— Peggy, 3/2/2013" Guilty pleasure. I'm such a sucker for the Miss Julia books! "
— Peggy, 2/19/2013" I can only tolerate Miss Julia in small doses, but was ready for another one. I liked this one. "
— Ruth, 2/18/2013" Unfortunately I believe that Ann Ross has simply run out of story. The earlier books are fun and the characters likable. This is more of the same but not all that well done. The story just ... ended. I honestly didn't see the point at all. "
— Evan, 1/24/2013" I think Miss Julia is starting to lose her charm - her predicaments are getting too far-fetched for me. "
— Donna, 12/17/2012" This book is a cut above some of the latest in this series. Enjoyable, funny, not as good as the first, but then I find few books in a series that do surpass the first. This one gets close to 'as good as'. "
— Terri, 12/12/2012" I always enjoy a visit with Miss Julia. "
— Nikki, 3/14/2012" Twelve books in this series! I think I may have missed a couple since I last picked one up. Miss Julia is a teensy bit prissy and hypocritical for my taste, but she is certainly loyal to her motley crew of friends and family. "
— Sharon, 11/8/2011" Good light reading. I always enjoy reading about Miss Julia. "
— Catherine, 9/26/2011" I love all Miss Julia books. This is her latest and did not disappoint. But if Miss Julia is supposed to be such a staunch Presbyterian, the author would do well to portray accurately the doctrine if infant baptism. "
— Wanda, 9/21/2011" I love the Miss Julia books! This one (the 12th in the series) did not disappoint! It included plenty of madcap adventures to keep me laughing out loud. I can't wait for the next one.... : ) "
— Cathy, 8/31/2011" I just love visiting with Miss Julia! Pour yourself some sweet tea and hold on to your hat as you bounce along on another crazy adventure! "
— Elizabeth, 7/16/2011" Delightful light mystery with some hilarious highlights. "
— Margaret, 6/25/2011" Another cute Miss Julia book. I love her pluck!!!! She's a little too nosy for my taste but then there wouldn't be a story if she didn't try to "help" everyone. "
— Carol, 6/18/2011" For crying out loud! If Sam and Miss Julia can't get their relationship figured out by now it's too late. I've so enjoyed the Miss Julia series, but this one seemed forced. "
— Lisa, 5/31/2011" Loved the series, but this was one of my least favorite. "
— Kristie, 5/31/2011" I love the Miss Julia books, especially when you've just finished a more difficult book. These are books you can get lost in. I read this one in one day and enjoyed every bit of it. "
— NancyL, 5/30/2011" Ann B. Ross writes a formula book but I still enjoyed it. Julia is not too over the top. It has been a while since the last book, so I had a little trouble remembering the lesser characters. "
— Cathy, 5/20/2011" This book is a cut above some of the latest in this series. Enjoyable, funny, not as good as the first, but then I find few books in a series that do surpass the first. This one gets close to 'as good as'. "
— Terri, 5/15/2011" Another in the series - have to keep reading to find out what's happening to Miss Julia and all her friends in Abbottsville. "
— Maura, 5/7/2011" I love reading the Miss Julia series! This book kept me on my toes and entertained until the last page. "
— Vicki, 5/2/2011" Great book, Miss Julia is smart as a fox and naive at the same time... I laughed so hard I cried on some pages... Can't wait for her next one... "
— Diane, 4/17/2011" Miss Julia was amusing as always. Needed the break between "The Last Child" and "Room". "
— Jennifer, 4/15/2011" Good-Although the story was dragging pretty bad towards the end. "
