We have questions. Child-like inquiries. And deep, heavy ones.
In more than twenty-five years of writing and ministry, Max Lucado has received thousands of such questions. They come in letters, e-mails, even on Dunkin Donuts napkins. In Max on Life he offers thoughtful answers to more than 170 of the most pressing questions on topics ranging from hope to hurt and from home to the hereafter.
Max writes about the role of prayer, the purpose of pain, and the reason for our ultimate hope. He responds to the day-to-day questions—parenting quandaries, financial challenges, difficult relationships—as well as to the profound: Is God really listening?
A special addendum includes Max's advice on writing and publishing.
Including topical and scriptural indexes and filled with classic Lucado encouragement and insight, Max on Life will quickly become a favorite resource for pastors and ministry leaders as well as new and mature believers.

"I really appreciated this book. Think its handy for anyone to have near by in case they arent able to answer some of the "harder" questions someone may ask you.... or you may find your own questions in this book. Easy, quick read - full of great answers straight from Scripture."
— Rebecca (4 out of 5 stars)
" This was a difficult book to read straight through, because it is more of a reference book, with answers, or at least discussion, on very difficult life questions. It's a great resource! "
— Heather, 12/30/2013" SO BEYOND 5 STARS! SO MUCH IN THIS BOOK TO LEARN ABOUT AND TO PONDER ABOUT. THE BEST BOOK OF HIS THAT I HAVE READ SO FAR! HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT! "
— Michelle, 10/31/2013" As I continue my spiritual journey, I'm looking for uplifting guidance around how to live my life, raise my son and treat those around me well. "Max on Life" is a different type of spiritual book. Max Lucado compiles 170+ questions that he has received and answered during his career as a pastor. There is almost no question that Max hasn't had to answer or deal with during his lifetime and he has separated these questions and answers into Hope, Hurt, Help, Him/Her, Home, Haves/Have-Nots, and Hereafter categories. Regardless of your religious proclivities, Max can help you address some of the tougher questions that come up as part of life. My only complaint is that some of the answers are a little vague and can lack specific actions to take that will help you through life's challenges. At worst, it contains some kludgey logic with advice that is subject to interpretation. At best, it provides solid spiritual guidance. In many ways, "Max on Life" is an owner's manual for your soul. "
— Chris, 10/25/2013" You can't be anything you want to be. But you can be everything God wants you to be. "
— Tracer, 8/24/2013" Another great Max book! "
— Sheryl, 5/22/2013" I usually enjoy reading Max Lucado's books but I didn't finish this one. At my place in life and my Christian walk, the questions either didn't apply to my life or the answers were simpler than I desired. "
— Phyllis, 5/18/2013" I highly recommend if you liked any of his otherbooks "
— Megan, 5/16/2013" I enjoyed this book and thought the questions were answered well. I did not agree with all his answers but felt he really thought about what to write. I would recommend this book to all Christians to read. "
— IrenesChristianReviews, 8/9/2011" Great overview of Lucado thought. Kept it because it's a great reference book for common, troubling life questions. "
