" pretty good book. Max has a way of making us think of beyond the here and now and forward to the difference we can make "

" Max Lucado is my kind of guy! I have always loved the way he writes! He is down to earth and has a way of intersecting daily life with God's word and showing us how we can be true examples to those around us. This book is a challenge, it challenges Christians to use the circumstances they are in and the people they come in contact with to make a difference in our world. Max bases his book on the sermons in Acts, and really he hits home on so many levels. If we as Christians would be more like the Acts church we could accomplish so much more! I highly recommend this book! "

" Fantastic read. Convicted me of what little I do in comparison to all I could do for God given all He has blessed me with. "
-

" Wow. This book was beautifully written and so powerful. Don't read it unless you want to feel convicted and empowered. I feel as if I need to read it a second time to fully soak in the truth that can change the way I live. "

" This was light reading... giant font, big margins. It was as if it was a thought stretched into a book. "
-

Jen | 1/16/2014
" Good, inspirational read. I especially enjoyed the last chapter on prayer. Gets me thinking about finding little ways to give amidst my busy life and perhaps bigger ways later when the boys are older. "

" Amazing book which describes the ability we ALL have to do things that will outlast our physical lives here. It will change your way of thinking and cause you to look for opportunities to make the world a better place. "

" Great book that I read a chapter at a time at lunch. An outstanding representation of what it is to live life as demonstrated in the biblical book of Acts. Reading Lucado is like getting a hug. "
-

" This is a collection of guidelines for living a life that makes a difference, fleshed out with some interesting anecdotes and with stories from the Bible. The guidelines are nothing new but it's a good idea to be reminded of them from time to time and to check on how you're doing. "

" Read half the book, and while I found it enjoyable and with great insights, it just wasn't new information for me. So I stopped reading. No offense. :-) "

" I know I am supposed to like Max's books, but this one is a real winner. Practical, inspiring without laying on the guilt. Thoroughly a blessing. And Max is donating 100% of his author royalties to charity. Good stuff! "

" It was very cool. Pushed me in a positive way to not be fearful in my walk with God and gave me courage. It was so good that I suggested to the college minister at my church that we do it in next fall's life-group session. (I hardly make recommendations.)

" Another ok read. Just not my type of book. Some interesting info there but not something I would choose.
"
-

Elizabeth | 3/18/2011
" Not a deep review of fear, but great ideas and thought starters to take further. Fear's definitely something that controls us, and God has other ideas for how we are to live. Working on a sermon series on this topic now.
