" The book kept me interested, made me cry, but not that great a story. "

" Fantastic! This is a great series, and this is by far my favorite book of the series. It was so well done- the characters, and their reactions to the circumstances that they were in, were very real, not overly romanticized, and I felt connected to the characters and their stories. Difficult to put down, once I got past the rehashing of stuff that had happened in previous books (which I felt was overdone a bit). Loved the fact that I had no idea how this book would turn out to have a HEA, so instead of forecasting I was just enjoying the story. "

" Wondered when she'd get around to marrying Daisy off. "

  • 3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 Rachel | 2/3/2014

" Skipped No. 7 in the series because wanted to know who she ends up with. Only read if you've read all the others because they don't stand alone well. "

" This book got off to a fairly slow start. I wasn't expecting Daisy, Logan, and Julian to still be so young. And then Daisy took a wrong turn after about a third of the book. I couldn't understand why everyone was encouraging her to get on with her life. Conventional wisdom is that it takes a full year to get over a relationship in which you are fully invested, no matter what caused it to end - divorce, death, break-up, whatever, and it COULD take up to three years. Otherwise you risk making a decision on the rebound and that kind of decision is rarely a good one. Fortunately, about half way through the book, when Daisy was a few years older, things began to perk up and I really enjoyed the last half of the book. Ms. Wiggs dealt well with the three way relationship, so that you did not feel sorry for the guy who lost Daisy in the end. "

" I really wanted to like this book because I enjoyed these characters in previous Lakeshore Chronicles books; but, I found this story to be depressing and had a hard time getting to the end. "

" Awesome book!!!! I had this feeling just from reading the back cover that this book was going to make me mad! But I am so happy to say that it didn't. It was the way the book SHOULD have been!!!! Great read even with never having read the previous Willow Lake books! :) WTG Susan Wiggs!!! "
