"I thought this was a fantastic continuation of Allie Beckstrom's world. She has to sacrifice a big part of herself in this book and I can not wait to see what comes of that sacrifice (I'm actually hoping she will get her sacrifice back I just cant see her without it). Allie's Dad is also continuing to cause issues by using her and I still cant figure out what exactly he is trying to do but we got a few more facts on all her memory issues that were nice to know. The ending of course was left open to continue into the next story and the little sneak peak of Book #6 Magic on the Hunt left me wanting to continue the series."

“Action-packed…Allie’s adventures are gripping and engrossing, with an even, clever mix of humor, love, and brutality.”

— Publishers Weekly Starred Review" I am absolutely hooked on Devon Monk and he's imagination! No pretty wands and fairy godmothers here! A wonderful combination of action, fantasy and kicking ass. "
— Melissa, 8/10/2017" Fantastic! I had to round up to 5 stars because I didn't stop once during the entire book to make an update with a snarky comment. Or any comment, I was too busy enjoying. It was also one of the best books I've read in terms of using the history of the series without ever leaving me frustrated because I couldn't remember what had happened in the past. The layers of the tale keep on building and getting more interesting. I think this was her best book in the series. "
— Cathy, 2/18/2014" I enjoy this series but at the same time it annoys me. Very back and forth with the allies and her dad. I also wish it would get to unanswered questions sooner. Lots left open in this series, little by little with each book more is reveled. As the series goes on it does get better just a slow road. "
— April, 2/15/2014" This latest chapter in the life and times of Allie Beckstrom will leave you begging for more. She fight death itself to save her lover, and now must fight to save the whole world. "
— Nora-adrienne, 2/3/2014" I don't have much to say about this one except: Wonderful! An awesome installment in this series. I can't wait for the next one! "
— Music_lover3, 1/29/2014" Loved, loved, loved this one. "

— Carmen, 12/23/2013" Another great installment in the series. It's passionate, sad, and action packed. Can't wait until the next novel. "
— Meredith, 12/13/2013" I liked how this book went more into detail about Allie's father and her past. I am intrigued to see if her father holds her memories as a child and can slowly give them back to her. "
— Tabitha, 12/2/2013" It was a good book. The story felt like it dragged a little more than the others, but I enjoyed it. "
— Meg, 3/25/2013" Hot - check. Mystery and action - check. Most important of all FUNNY - check. There was more Shame and Stone in this book and I love them cuz they are funny. But I enjoy all the characters and Allie's view of them. Now it's a battle to keep myself from reading the next book IMMEDIATELY. "
— Anne, 3/7/2013" Another great addition. It moves the larger series storyline along while still having it's own storyline. "
— Jules, 11/5/2012" Great series, Allie is quite fun, though she spends quite a lot of time in Death in this book, and Zayvion is mostly unconscious until it is time to save the day (convenient). "
— Deyara, 10/8/2012" Excellent continuation of the series. I did miss Zay. He wasn't a big part of this one. "
— Lori, 9/25/2012" I read the entire series in less than a week (five books so far). Really fun, page-turner reads. Looking forward to the next one coming out in April 2011! "
— Rhonda, 8/4/2012" Couldn't wait until Zay woke up! "
— Bec, 11/19/2011" i was so scared that everything with zay wasn't going to work out also i want to know what is up with allie's dad i think something serious happened around the same time that allie's mom left to allie to make her dad what he turned out to be<br/> "
— Ashley, 7/8/2011" I love this series- but this one got really, really dark. Interesting start with having the main characters travel into death and I like the direction that Daniel and Allie are going. Stone, as always, is just pure fun!! "
— Gina, 5/25/2011" It was a good book. The story felt like it dragged a little more than the others, but I enjoyed it. "
— Meg, 5/19/2011" Excellent continuation of the series. I did miss Zay. He wasn't a big part of this one. "
— Lori, 3/6/2011" SO can't wait for the next one! "
