The infamous Reverend Curtis Black's sordid past is no secret, as his wife, Charlotte, is well aware. But when Curtis' long-time mistress and mother of his illegitimate two-year-old, dies, he and Charlotte have no choice but to raise Curtina together. While the living, breathing reminder of her husband's infidelity infuriates Charlotte, Curtis couldn't be happier to finally have his whole family together. Despite her best efforts to keep her feelings hidden, Charlotte resents Curtina, taking her emotions out on the young girl.
When confronted about her behavior Charlotte starts spending time away from home, all the while getting closer to her ex-boyfriend. Curtis appears to devote himself to his parish and the new church they're building, but is he really focusing his attention on the female parishioners trying to lure him into bed? Suddenly Curtis and Charlotte find themselves slipping into dangerous territory, and not even Curtis' seven-figure salary can prevent what is about to happen.

"What a great read.I really do enjoy reading the Curtis Black Series.Charlotte was something else to say the least; but when put in her situation how any of us would act differently. I was also so very proud of the Reverend & his character in this particular book. If you like reading good books, then I would recommend this book."

“In the eight installment of the series, Roby has done the impossible by completely transforming philandering minister Curtis Black into the man of God his vocation requires him to be. This book has it all: a riveting story line, well-defined characters, and plenty of drama!”
— RT Book Reviews (4 stars)“Roby’s rendering of Charlotte rekindling her own affair, with an old now-married flame, and her one-night stand with a secretive man is a hoot, and fans of faith-based series will no doubt relish these sinful shenanigans.”
— Publishers Weekly“Does not disappoint…Roby’s well-developed plot, delightful pace, and drama-filled surprises will reward the author’s many fans.”
— Library Journal" I guess the whole Rev Curtis series isn't for me. I really had nothing for any of the characters except Matthew. This was my first book by this author and I think I'll give her another try...but not with series. "
— Claudia, 2/10/2014" I didn't finish this book. Couldn't get past the first couple of chapters. "
— Latonya, 2/9/2014" I usually enjoy her stories about the Black Family but I am getting annoyed. It's all the same recurring themes about cheating, lying, backstabbing by the same two people. The point is no one ever changes a new leaf and it all runs in the family. If you cheat on your spouse, you will always find other women appealing and if your spouse cheated on you, she is at risk to do it again. The fact that these two say they love each other despite all the betrayals and yet stay married to one another is despicable. So hope this is the last one to this saga!! "
— Maureen, 2/8/2014" I can't beleive I finished this story as the main characters, Pastor Black and his wife Charlotte have huge issues with monogomy. "
— Joy, 2/4/2014" Even though we have been through the drama of the Good Reverend, Kimberla Lawson Roby knows how to keep the reader engaged! Great job! "
— Alicia, 1/22/2014" started reading on Monday, 07FEB2011 "
— Desiree, 1/20/2014" I enjoyed this book, it's been a few years since Kimberla focused on Rev. Curtis Black and his wife Charlotte. I missed them with all of their drama. I'm sure there will be another Curtis Black novel in the near future, based on the ending of Love, Honor and Betray. "
— Linda, 1/19/2014" The Black Family will always make you read her books but ready for Kimberla Lawson Roby to change directions. All in all great book! "
— Latrel, 1/9/2014" This book was ok. I was upset with the Charoltte because she was such a witch because she forgotCurtis was another person husband when she met and made a baby, therefore she should be patient and understanding. I guess the next book if its another will be better or it could be I am Curtisdone.com "
— Pamela, 11/20/2013" I love Kimberla Lawson Roby! This book had just enough to keep me on the edge. The ending wasn't what I expected; but, she knows how to weave a tale. Hopefully, in the next book she can get Matthew into some trouble. I mean he is old enough and he is his parents' child. "

— Dana, 5/9/2013" This book was good but I couldn't get with Charlotte in this one. She got what she deserved she is such a Jezebel. I'd marry Curtis lol. I also thought the cheating scandals were crazy and they shouldve known better. Overall it was good but very scandalous. "

— Paula, 11/28/2011" Another page-turner. Charlotte is just nasty and dirty. No one wants a minister's wife like her in their church. "
