Neil Simon, America’s most prolific and beloved playwright, is the author of more than thirty plays and screenplays. As a child he found refuge and inspiration watching early comedians like Charlie Chaplin, eventually deciding to incorporate comedy into his many works. He was awarded a Pulitzer Prize and three Tony Awards and received more Oscar and Tony Award nominations than any other writer. Despite this, many still feel he is underrated. He now splits his time between New York and Los Angeles.
