" This was the first Clancy book I ever finished. I think Locked On was easier than most because of co-author Mark Greaney. Clancy didn't seem to shove all the military jargon down our throats like in most of his books. The only thing I disliked was the 10 or so extra plot lines going at the same time. "

" I have read every book to this point in the "Jack Ryan Series" and wish I would have stopped at "The Bear and the Dragon." Since that novel, Clancy has relied too much on his coauthors and the stories have been watered down, the characters lacking depth, and his suspense is predictable. If I could advise anyone thinking about reading "Locked On" who admired Clancy's core work, don't read it and damage your admiration of Clancy, the "Jack Ryan" story, and the characters you enjoyed in earlier books. " I stopped about halfway through. I used to be a huge fan of Tom Clancy and still love his older work in the Jack Ryan series (and still reread Red Storm Rising on a regular basis) but all I could think while reading this was, "predictable, predictable". It takes a lot for me not to finish a book, especially this far into it, but I just couldn't do it with this one. "

" Clancy does it again. Not only fast paced but he shows his opinions about our current administration with his President Kealty character. He pulls no punches when he describes his fictional administration as a bunch of idiots. Sounds eerily similar to the idiotic policies we have in place right now. "

" I enjoy Tom Clancy thrillers. The book had a "with Mark Greaney" credit. Sometimes I thought it may have actually been "with Rush Limbaugh." Sometimes the liberals are evil/corrupt while conservatives are good/pure comes off as comical. Jack Ryan's new gi "

" On the whole an enjoyable work of fiction something to wet your imagination but a little slow in parts sometimes a little too much detail for a story. Enjoued it though and would reccomend it but not 1 of Clancy's best. "
