And Virginia's adopted daughter, who has long been a blessing, may be torn from the family when her absentee birth mother resurfaces and pursues custody. Virginia may fear the unknown, but her unshakable convictions will help her embrace it. Like Gold Refined is a timeless testament to the strength of family and the power of faith. Narrator Alexandra O'Karma gracefully illuminates Janette Oke's wholesome prose and brings her inspiring message to life.

"A great ending to the series. Finally Virginia sees all her prayers and friendship for Jenny actually result in something good. And I felt so bad/proud for Mindy choosing to go live with her real mother when she was sick. "

" A nice read, but a lot of sad moments. Thankfully, she left off one potentially really sad moment. It's not my favorite of the series, but it does have some good moments to keep the story moving along to the end. The epilogue is beautiful. "
