From Jennifer Weiner comes a story of two sisters with nothing in common but a love for shoes learn they are more alike than they thought possible.
Meet Rose Feller, a thirty-year-old high-powered attorney with a secret passion for romance novels. She has an exercise regime she's going to start next week, and she dreams of a man who will slide off her glasses, gaze into her eyes, and tell her she's beautiful. She also dreams of getting her fantastically screwed-up, semi-employed little sister to straighten up and fly right.
Meet Rose's sister, Maggie. Twenty-eight years old and drop-dead gorgeous. Although her big-screen stardom hasn't progressed past her left hip's appearance in a Will Smith video, Maggie dreams of fame and fortune -- and of getting her big sister on a skin-care regimen.
These two women, who claim to have nothing in common but a childhood tragedy, DNA, and the same size feet, are about to learn that they're more alike than they'd ever imagined. Along the way, they'll encounter a diverse cast of characters -- from a stepmother who's into recreational Botox to a disdainful pug with no name. They'll borrow shoes and clothes and boyfriends, and eventually make peace with their most intimate enemies -- each other.

"One of those books I LOVED, and still haven't bothered to see the movie. Something tells me the actresses chosen will never live up to the standards of Jennifers writting. Another book that I can relate too... In a sense, beauty may be skin deep, but people are a lot deeper than they seem.."

— Elizabeth, 2/19/2014" It was ok. Easy read about sisters who are so different and struggling with a relationship. Kinda feel short to me, but was ok. "

— Connie, 2/15/2014" Im glad I saw the movie first. "
— Rissa1516, 1/30/2014" Very cute enjoyable book. "
— Judy, 12/28/2013" I've heard so many rave reviews about Jennifer Weiner, so I think I got my hopes up before I read this book. It took a little while to get into, but after the first couple chapters it became a breezy, fun read. I was really intrigued by Maggie's character and think that she's even a bit inspriational, encouraging anyone who has been told they're dumb or stupid, encouraging them that they can do anything if they try, even survive Princeton. Other than this, the book didn't have much depth. It was pretty typical, but I've heard this isn't the best of Weiner's novels, so I won't let it discourage me from reading more of her. "

— Onie, 5/2/2013" Unfortunately, I saw the film before reading the book, but both are enjoyable. This is so much more than "chick-lit", in that it really delves into the relationship between the two sisters, and also gives more insight into some of the other characters' perspectives. I highly recommend it. "
— JohnMichael, 12/12/2012" This was a pretty boring read. It also annoyed me when the word "squinted" turned up on just about every page. "
— Carrie, 11/11/2012" A good beach read...the ending was a little rushed..but it did a great job capturing how infuriating inconsiderate people are..and it succeeded in making me hate those characters.. "
— Corey, 11/2/2012" A fun, beach or cold, winter day read, especially for girls! "
