"Although the premises and "magic" part of the story is typical, the characters are NOT. The hero is not brave, vain, and unromantic. Even then, the protagonist, Sophie, never depends on Howl to get out of situations. This book is beautifully unconventional, and uses riveting imagery."

" I loved this fairy tale! "
— Shari, 2/18/2014" this story was amazing! I love both the book and the movie, even if it's alittle diffrent. "
— Bianca, 2/10/2014" While charming enough, this tale never really grabbed my attention the way others might. In fact, my edition had excerpts of some of her other books, and I found those more captivating. I found the characters here rather thin, and the plot rather slow and episodic. "
— Ming, 2/2/2014" My absolute Favorit book when I was like 13. "
— Katarina, 1/14/2014" Sort of boring. Alot of arguing and bickering between Sophie, Wizard Howl, and Calcifer. "
— Nishana, 1/12/2014" Novel yang keren, baca ini waktu awal-awal kuliah. Sudah diadaptasi oleh Studio Ghibli menjadi film animasi dengan judul yang sama. Dan keduanya bener2 bagus. "

— Naomi, 5/8/2011" It's awesome the way that describes all the situations and the magic world. Also I think that she had combined the real world with the magic one it's just perfect.
When you see the movie after you had read the book makes the experiencie a thing from another world.
"
— Amary, 5/6/2011" A fun, quick read and yet I am still thinking it over after I finished it. Likable characters and the humor and plot mystery kept me reading. I passed it on to my 9 year old this morning, and he is almost finished. Thumbs up from him as well. "
— Ginny, 5/6/2011" This was a fun fantasy read. The main characters were feisty and likable. It got a little slow in the middle for me. But, all in all, it was a good book that I will recommend to my girls. "
— Jana, 5/4/2011" This is a favorite--a read-again book, for sure. "
